Sometimes riddle clues are flat-out wrong (example screenshots from Shroudbreaker tall tale)

  • Usually the treasure voyages are accurate, but the tall tales in particular need a lot of help. In another case, in Stars of a Thief, it said it was 2 islands in a particular direction, but it was actually 4.

There needs to be either a complete audit and examination of them, or we need a mega feedback thread where we can report problems.

I don't know why the image shows in preview but not in the thread: https://i.imgur.com/v5ctmyc.png

  • I will help by showing the picture below....

However, you misunderstand the clues. The first two pages of the log show the ship's course as it is pursued by the Burning Blade. The point of these pages is to help you locate where the chest was thrown overboard "south of a small island" (i.e. Chicken Isle). The course North East from Snake Island is not supposed to lead you to Crook's Hollow.

It is the next pages of the journal that you retrieve from the chest jettisoned at Chicken Isle that lead you to Crook's Hollow, as shown on the journal pages at the bottom of the picture. Think about it, for a moment! How could the journal pages in the chest show Crook's Hollow as the destination of the pursuit if those pages were in a chest thrown overboard before the crew got there? They were in a wooden ship: Not a Mr Fusion powered DeLorean. :-)

  • @daddy382 the description starts at "Discovery Ridge" and leads you to "Chicken Isle", but your picture starts at "Chicken Isle"...do you see your mistake?

Everything after Chicken Isle leads you to the unmarked island, where the ship was sunk and you found the journal...so this one is irrelevant
