Ship
Mini-games/Card Games to play below deck while on long sea journeys.
Variations to ship types i.e. a Brigantine with fewer cannons but a more resilient hull, or a Sloop with forward and rear-facing cannons but no side-facing cannons.
If a cannonball lands on the deck of your ship rather than the hull, it creates a repairable plank-sized hole, that gives the leg-break effect when walked over.
The ability to use the mast’s ropes to swing from ship to ship, Jack Sparrow style.
A larger, heavier cannonball that takes much longer to load, and is much heavier than a regular cannonball. This means that it would have an even lower trajectory than the chainshot, so that it can only be used in very close-quarters ship combat. The advantage of the heavy cannonball is that it would instantly create a max level hole in a ship’s hull. As they are heavier, players can only carry 5 of these cannonballs in their inventory.
Some sort of Anti-Personnel cannon ammunition, that deals no damage to ship deck or hull, but massive damage to players.
Oars below deck, allowing the ship to go faster depending on the amount of players on the oars (more players = more speed). This would make ship battles interesting as players would have to decide between speed and people above deck.
5-6 Player Ship, anchor, wheel, sails all turn painfully slow, and the turning circle is extremely big, but there are 3 decks (apart from the top deck) and 6 cannons.
PvE
The Kraken is rarer, harder, and more rewarding. At the moment we get the Kraken daily, and it makes it an annoyance, rather than an exciting experience.
If a player falls into the water while fighting a Megalodon, the Megalodon can eat the player, sending them to the Megalodon’s stomach. The player will then have to fight their way out of the Megalodon’s stomach, similar to when a player is sucked by a Kraken’s tentacle.
The Kraken does an attack which includes being able to see the Kraken’s face, this would add a new exhilaration to fighting the Kraken.
PvP
The Cutlass is heavier and slower, but does more damage (40-45%?), and the new alternative would be:
Duel-Wielded Daggers. Faster than the Cutlass, but less damage.
The Axe, extremely slow, but deal 80-90% damage.
Pike, a long ranged melee weapon, akin to a spear. Effective for dealing damage at mid-range, but turning speed is slowed down when wielding the Pike.
Bounty Missions offered by The Reaper’s Bones that tells the player in which region an Emissary ship is in. The player would then be required to hunt the Emissary ship and return its flag for a reward.
A better indicator of your enemy’s health, as hitting shots is unreliable because of hit reg problems. Maybe they limp, or clutch an injured part of their body.
Game Modes
