I am a player of sea of thieves and I have a request that I feel would make the game better for many people. My request is to lower the amount of letters of recommendations from 1 per month to 1 per week. Players would still have to wait a while to buy, it just won’t be as long. Could you propose the idea to someone because I feel many people would like that and benefit from that. Please and thank you.
Letters Of Recommendation
I'm not sure how allowing expedited progression makes the game better. There are too many doubloons in the game nowadays and it just makes more sense to either limit the Letters of Rec, to one per month or remove them from the game entirely.
I don't mind if rare allow people to just purchase pirate legend with 20000 gold now at this stage. It is so easy now anyway. You can hit pirate legend in 20 to 30 hours. took me closer to 400 on launch. Still people want easier. If they did allow people to buy pirate legend then after that people would ask for the merchant to be put in the tavern so you don't have to walk as far. from there people would probably like an app on the phone that boots up the game and walks to the merchant for them lol! Letters should never have come to the game in first place imo.
No one benefits from it. Get rid of it entirely. One of the WORST decisions Rare has ever made for this game was those stupid letters.

To each their own - I never would be where I am now in the Sea Dogs without it... 😅
Besides, as is, without actively playing the game, it would take them almost 75 months to use up all of the letters! That's over 6 years!
If you never played arena, probably. If you played arena for the 240wins, you would have gotten to 50 around the time you get all 240. I haven't bought any yet though I was really really really tempted lol.

No, I don't play arena a whole lot - once a month, if that. The only time I really played it was to get the boots, sword, and figurehead of courage. That was a waste of 2 weeks.
Agreed. I never liked playing Arena either. I love PvP, but Arena isn't just "PvP". Well at least the version back then. I've gotten screwed over by spawn locations in almost every game, every game was an uphill battle.
