Phantom Cannonball Improvements

  • I didn't notice any difference with the phantom cannonball [The Small One], it just seems to be a normal cannonball in disguise (Haven't done enough testing to confirm) I would suggest that if you kill a player with a phantom cannonball it would cancel the option for revival which makes it slightly more useful than a normal cannonball, while still fitting the theme of a Phantom ball. If possible the phantom can grab the soul of the player as an extra animation to make it feel more serious.

  • @capt-soul-beard Well it makes alot of damage....just several small holes though.
Should do more damage but on the other hand it will be superior if they buff it.

  • @reapinglegion Are you thinking of the Shrieking Ball? (Open Mouth)

Ohhh i thought you were talking about that one, sorry my fault :P

  • @capt-soul-beard
The big difference I found between regular cannonballs and Phantom cannonballs:
Phantom cannonballs deal around 65 damage to a player on direct hit.
Regular cannonballs deal 100 damage to a player on direct hit.

Seems to me that Phantom cannonballs are less useful, but they're still awesome to shoot. =P

  • @reapinglegion I think that one is really good, with 3 shots you can demolish a ship. I'm talking about the small ones.

  • @capt-seashantey That's unfortunate to have a cool looking useless ball

  • Which cannon balls are the phantom ones?

The ones that look like a ghost or the ones that look like a face?

  • @daringclarky the ones that look like a ghost

  • I don't see a noticeable difference, if they don't really do anything, makes you wonder why waste time collecting them. I wonder if you could adjust them to maybe act like normal cannons, but they have a longer reach with faster travel. I feel like they should do something special.

I like this trend of making events as tools to load up on special munitions. Not only does it reward those who take it, it makes them much more desirable to groups not interested completely in a payout. Essentially, I want stuff to use not to sell.

  • @captain-coel Thanks for clarifying.
Ive never beaten the flameheart seige yet!
Ive just been normal ghost fleets.

  • @capt-soul-beard I use them mostly as warning shots. Because where there's Phantom Cannonballs there's most likely wraith balls as well.

  • Maybe making it go through the ship and being able to make 2 small holes this way. It's not a big up (since it makes 2 T1 holes instead of 1 T2 hole) ...
