From my understanding, sniper does 70 damage, pistol does 55 damage. So why is it that when I'm at full health and get shot it kills me instantly? Is this a glitch or a HP reading error? As a PvP savvy person I make calculated risks and am always on top of my health/eating cooked food. So when I just ate a mango and a coconut and I go to top deck to get one shotted by a pistol or eye of reach it doesnt make sense to me. & yes I know the obvious "yOu WeReN't At FuLl HeAlTh ThEn" but the thing is I was at full health and this isnt the first time this has happened.

I would like to see the pace of pirate v pirate slow down just a smidge.
125 hp would be interesting.
5 hp to work with after being Pistol/EoR combo'd.
Any little thing to give that respawning player a bit more of an edge.

Easy answer is you weren't shot by one bullet. You can be shot by two separate people people and it will appear as being one-shot. You could also be experiencing someone running two guns. If you are leaning on the side of cheating, I will say this, cheats don't work in this capacity. In modern online gaming, cheating can only manipulate things controlled on their end or through the use of packet interception. Things like damage are controlled server side not locally. Tools like walling, aimbot, or esp intercept information being transported to the server.

Yeah DGE did get fixed, he wasn't at full health or he got shot by 2 people.
The thing is most people don't understand how much health food gives them, and don't understand how much damage the sniper really does.
I've seen it happen a lot. A player eats a coconut thinking they have close to full health and get shot and then complain about being one shot. I've also seen videos posted on here by players who have said they got "oneshot" only to catch on the video that they got shot by 2 players at the same time. Probably the reason why no one posts proof of the alleged one shot because they don't want to get embarrassed by something they missed.
OP didn't get one shot from sniper. Either didn't have full health or took damage from 2 separate things at the same time. Cannon splash sniper, shark sniper, 2 players using guns.
I never believe players that say this because its never true and I hear it all the time.
All fine doubled two guys camping the tavern yesterday 😁
They got sunk before, but we decided to go to Ancient because of 2 Athena kegs and we knew they were alive all three.
One got shot in the water trying board, 2 were camping for sure.
So 2 of us swam back, just for fun and if we were right they camp.

No it is now 70 and I'm sure it was 90 pre damage nerf

No it is now 70 and I'm sure it was 90 pre damage nerf

Yes, it used to be 80 damage, but then the nerfed it down to 70 damage months ago.Nice...I read about all the nerfs and buffs, all patch notes, in the forums almost every day...but I missed that 😅🤣
