Sword needs a slight rework, not necessarily a nerf

  • I think the update to the damage of the sword was much needed but with keeping the other support mechanics it had before such as the movement stun and the swing rate the sword is hard to avoid.
    I think a great way to tweak the sword would be to change the stun to only be the first swing in the 3 hit combo and to make the fourth swing take a bit longer to perform.
    I have noticed a annoyance while fighting swords and that is when I try to run and eat to re-gain health the sword always manages to catch me and stun any further movement and kill me, but with this change there can be a bit more reaction time and overall a better experience for those fighting the sword and not much of an impact on those who use it.
    What are your thoughts?

  • @legomaster50113 I think that your request is moot, because the stun will still hold you long enough to get hit and stunned again by the 3rd strike. Unless, you know, block (or shoot them before they get too close to begin with).

  • Part of the problem is the fact that there isn’t a penalty for missing a swing anymore. They need to add a penalty back for missed sword swings, and make the block actually work again.
