Ahoy there ! I have noticed (and other players too) that the kraken can block the access to the brick's cabin with his tentacle during an assault. It's particularly annoying because we can't repair the ship and it has to sink every time...
Is it possible to make something about that to give us a chance to survive against this creature of the Deep ?
Kraken and Brick
Its really easy to survive this is your crew is working together and not just running around.
Plan ahead and prepare. Its not that difficult and really easy to do so there is no reason for this to be changed.
A mistake I always made was to shoot the tentacle that wraps the ship. Instead, when you get wrapped, look for a short tentacle that pops up alongside you and dances about. Shooting that frees you much quicker.

This actually used to occur more regularly before Rare reduced the likelihood of the tentacle covering the boat at that particular spot. As your post demonstrates, it can still happen.
Best way to prevent this is to plan ahead- keep one crew member below deck at all times so they can rapidly repair if the tentacle blocks the door. If the floor isn't fully covered with water, use a firebomb to set part of it on fire, then use a bucket of water to put it out- water used to extinguish fires evaporates.
The players who are topside should communicate so everyone always has cannonballs in their pockets at all times (keeping a cannonball crate or storage crate above works great). As @Schwammlgott pointed out, you should aim for the tentacle head that pops up close to your ship. If you cannonball that tentacle, it'll move to the other side. Repeat 2-3 times, and the tentacle will release you.
The big risk is that the players above run out of cannonballs or ammo before the tentacle releases you; they can't go below-decks to restock. If that happens, you've probably lost. Have the person below memorize your ship's position on the map so you can sail back quickly and recover your loot before it sinks

Yeah I'm of the opinion this shouldn't happen, but realize that the Brig would be pretty OP if not for the occasional flaw like this.Been talking about this since the Brigs creation, but yeah it sucks.
It really sucks tbh.Maybe add window hatches on the side so players can still bail out the sides in such an event..
Galleons should be able to open the gunports for the same reason.i remember slashing that tentacle with my sword and killing myself.
@Ultimate-Powa Brig and Galeon do have more people on the Ship. It is easier to prepare that attack. Like 2 could repair and still 2 could shoot that blocking tentacle. Challenges are not something bad.
