What time zone are Twitch drops based off of?

  • As you all are probably aware, we've been receiving the Omen ship set as Twitch drops throughout the past week, which is really awesome.

Unfortunately I somehow missed the cannon drop when I started watching a Twitch stream at about 10pm my time (PDT) on the night of the cannon drop, but I did receive the wheel drop later that evening.

Just out of curiosity in case another similar event happens in the future, does anyone know if the twitch drops are based off a global time table or they're based off the local time of the viewer?

  • I can't say for sure, but they seemed to start around 7am CST?

I never bothered to get the exact time, but I recall the banner on the Twitch Drops page had a timer that seemed to be about 7-8 hours off from midnight for my zone...

Probably not much help, sorry :(

  • @archangel-timmy Hey I appreciate any help that I can get, thank you!

  • Woah, very strange. It appears that I did end up receiving the drop, I just didn't get a twitch notification that I did, but it is in my inventory in game!

  • It was based from British Standard Time i think. From 10 am to 10 am

  • I got a hint from watching replay of one of Captain Falcore's playthroughs. He said you need to have the twitch tab foremost in your browser, and the sound not muted. He said, twitch can sense that and will not count time when muted. I am inclined to believe it, because I did have twitch muted a lot of the time, and did not get twitch drops as soon as I expected to see them.
