Bugged Voyage?

    I believe I encountered a bug with one of my Voyages.
    I was doing a Gold Hoarders' Voyage, a 60 gold one, and went out to 4 islands. Ran into some other loot and stuff. I was heading to the last island and was going into a big storm so I wanted to be careful and drop off all of my loot before heading to the last island through the storm (got attacked by a Meg in said storm :) ) I get there and it was a clue map, I do all of the clues. Do the final steps, and no chest. Dig up all around it, no chest. Follow instructions to a T, no chest.
    I was supposed to find the anchor at the shipwreck of the East shore. No other shipwrecks or anchors on the east shore, so I know I was at the right one.
    Eventually I just gave up and left.
    Did my voyage bug out because I turned in the chests from the other ones before it? Or maybe I took too long getting there?
    I want to know how to fix it for the future in case it happens again

    To be honest I think you either read the riddle wrong like it said North West and you went West (I do this all the time) or it was the paces. Any way I use a app called "SoT companion" this shows where all the riddle clues are. It helps me a lot

    @jaxclay000 I don't believe I did, I was quadruple checking and even streamed myself on Discord to my friend showing I was doing everything proper and he was stumped too
