Reapers Faction Cargo Runs (Observation + Question)

  • Ive noticed that i can get lots of cargo from merchants and sell it directly at reapers hideout.

As a reapers emissary I picked up two (16 crates) and got straight to grade 3.

Now heres the thing...does it matter if the cargo is late?

Because i am not taking this cargo to its intended destination i am assuming that of the cargo is late i should still get the same payout as they werent expecting it anyways right?

Is this correct? Or do i still need to deliver within the 4-9 ingame days?

Reason I ask is because i might do an insane cargo run like stack 48 crates (6 runs worth) and just deliver all at once 😂

  • @daringclarky I hope the time matter, to stop exactly what you want to do.

  • Even if they can be late, they are still worth something. So if you were to do what you said, I feel like it would be very similar to what I did with the rag and bone crates. Stock up as many as I can and then deliver. Some would be late but some wouldn't. The good thing about those, you would get doubloons for being on time and gold for being late, so you really couldn't lose. With normal cargo and the reaper's bones, it makes me want to load up on a bunch of cargo from the devil's roar since it is worth twice as much. That would help make up for the drop in price for being late. Then put up the reaper's flag right before turn in.

    Why is that a problem?
The reapers hideout is high activity with players and you have reapers mark on all the time.

Wouldnt you want to sink a ship and have tons and tons of loot to cash in?

Reapers faction is about doing whatever you want, not expressly pvp although pvp is rewarded.

  • Even better load all your items onto a rowboat first, if you do this with any of the emissary's you don't need to have a emissary flag raised while doing voyages etc.

Simply load up your rowboat with all the loot you like then either sail to an outpost or the reapers hideout when you get there raise the emissary flag then pick up the loot from the rowboat and place it on your deck, This should increase your emissary grade, then simply sell up and turn in your flag after for maximum profits.

This method also works if you use Treasure Chests to store items negating them from touching your ships deck. So long as the loot never touches the deck of your ship it doesn't count towards the emissary grade.

So I ran DR cargo until I hit rank V. Even though I did all DR voyages and even acquired the rank V emissary voyage from the DR merchant rep, I still ended up with a normal cargo run. I'm a little disappointed there isn't a DR version of the emissary voyage.

Anyways, I took those 25 plus about 14 or so DR cargo I still had to the reaper's hideout. I put up the emissary flag and turned in all the cargo, hitting grade V before I finished selling. None of it was late though. I got full price on all of it, 3500 after I hit rank V, but the rep seemed low. I only went from 28 to 31. I'm fine with that though since it's just cargo and it wasn't even stolen. This might be a fun way to run cargo. Collecting and stockpiling until you feel it's time to turn it all in. It definitely seems like a good way to earn gold. It actually moved me up to the master tier of reaper's bones.

Yeah i noticed its a pretty decent little earner.

If you enjoy the sailing part it doesnt feel so grindy either. That is til you gotta cash your horde of cargo 😂
