FEEDBACK - PC Game crash/exit after launch without error

    Hi there,

    You somehow broke the game for a lot of us.

    I've been sitting on the SOT Discord, seen and spoken to many people with the same issue.

    Game was working 100% for a long time. That means my PC and Windows is 100% (everything is updated)
    Is there any use in telling us do this or that or fix something on our systems. If something was broken on our sides why was the game working perfectly before the patch?

    Update came today and I did it. Launched the game and whala it gets to the Sea of Thieves logo screen and then just closes.
    No error, nothing.

    Looking at even viewer is does not give one much tbh.
    Basically just says SOT is not working.
    "Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.SeaofThieves_2.92.2201.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Athena\Binaries\UWP64\SoTGame.exe"

    Launching it again asks you if you want to check the files. If you do that, it checks it and find nothing and then just closes again.

    Comeon guys. How can a game that worked perfectly fine now just not work for some people...

    @limpnoodleza586 Having same problem, ive done everything i can, reinstalled the game, reset it and done all the things to do instructed on the crash link.

    I am also having this issue, worked fine before the most recent update happened (today), on Windows 10, System is 100% updated. Launching SoT from Xbox Console Companion, also tried from the Library from MS Store app. Also tried downloading a seperate free app, and then running SoT, also tried most if not all of the suggestions found here with no luck. I also uninstalled any Audio Cables, as well as searched for other Audio programs that were reported in others threads as causing issues, followed by a computer restart each time.

    Ye I dont think any of that will magically fix the game.

    Our PC's are still the same as it was a few hours ago. The only thing that has changed is the game because of the update.

    It's on them to fix it tbh

    @LimpNoodleZA586 Same problem here. I have tried everything on my end and what was recommend at https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115015775927--Sea-of-Thieves-is-not-Launching. When loading in it asks if I want to do a 'file integrity check' but saying yes seems to do nothing and no just crashes the program.

    Same issue here as well.. Was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO STREAMING THIS TONIGHT BUT FOR SOME REASON THE GAME CRASHES AND ASKS IF I WANT TO CHECK INTEGRITY OF FILES. LAST 4 HRS OF BS!!!! MY MAIN GAME I STREAM TOO!!!!!!! I've looked for a fix everywhere... no avail this was the last resolve and what!! YOUR WORKING ON THE ISSUE!

    If they (RARE) want to pay me for data I'll gladly try that again

    Alright so it seems this SOT update does not work with

    Sonic Studio, AND Sonic Radar

    I've uninstalled Sonic Studio, AND Sonic Radar and it works now.
    I hope RARE can sort this out so I can install it again as it should be.
