Why doesn't the ancient chest shine anymore?

I was recently playing through the tall tales with my friend who is new to the game and this problem arose during the shroudbreaker tall tale. The ancient chest used to shine brightly which made it pretty easy to find after doing the challenge of following the ship's log. This in my mind was balanced as there was a challenge and then something simpler. Now though, the chest no longer shines which makes it nearly impossible to find. Me and my partner spent 30-40 minutes trying to find it which is ridiculous, especially for the very first tall tale that used to take half the time I spent on just that task. Any information on why this is or on if it will be fixed would be very appreciated.
