Game crashing repeatedly after game sharing

  • okay i have shared the game with my friend via the Microsoft store, they logged on to my account and downloaded the game, then switched back to their account to play sea of thieves(we are both on PC as well). It worked and they were able to play with, but now anytime we play together, I the person who bought the game(and only me) get kicked from the game and sea of thieves closes i have been trying to find some sort of solution that allows me to not crash and still play with my friend, I have not found anything on the internet about this problem. side note it is only when we play together that i experience crashes when we play separately all is well

  • @thefreshavocad0 I recommend you submit a support ticket because rare can help you step by step.

  • @thefreshavocad0 well what you are getting crashed by is the DRM what you are doing is basically not allowed.

You are sharing a game you purchased with someone who didnt purchase it. And i would thread VERY carefully, because by simply posting this here you are admitting to breaking several of the terms and the law by extent of that

    Microsoft store terms of sale:

    1. Software Licenses and Use Rights. Software and other digital content made available through the Store is licensed, not sold, to you. Applications downloaded directly from the Store are subject to the Standard Application License Terms ("SALT") available at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=838610&clcid=0x1009 unless different license terms are provided with the application. (Applications downloaded from the Office Store are not governed by the SALT and have separate license terms.) Apps, games and other digital content obtained through the Store are subject to the usage rules located at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=723143. You understand and acknowledge that your rights with respect to these digital goods are limited by these Terms of Sale, copyright law and the usage rules referenced above. Software licenses purchased at a Microsoft Retail Store are subject to the license agreement that accompanies the software, and you will be required to agree to the license agreement when you purchase, download or install the software. Any reproduction or redistribution of software or merchandise not in accordance with the relevant license terms, usage rules, and applicable law is expressly prohibited and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties. Violators risk prosecution to the maximum extent of the law..
