Pirate Lords

  • Ok this is the biggest stretch to the game in its current state, but I cant stop think about it. So as we all know the Pirate Lord in Athena's Fortune Tavern he currently is THE pirate lord, no one else in the games lore. WHAT I THINK will add a massive grind to the game and add more variety to the lore will be to allow players to become Pirate Lords themselves. But this wont be easy, as of being a well known SOT player on Twitch, YouTube, etc. and grind out all factions to level 300 or higher (which would be added w/ update). These people would get their own Athena's Fortune like tavern with their chosen name for the tavern and their crewmates of choice will be in the tavern as ghosts like we see in Athena's fortune. Each Pirate Lord tavern is underneath a random tavern in the game (which restricts only 7 people to be named a Pirate Lord, unless more taverns are added to the game). Each Pirate lord will also have their own Tall Tale (entire "series" or just one tough one like shores of gold).

This is really random and sorta dumb, but as I try to sleep on my 3rd energy drink of the day this keeps my thoughts going. This could be game breaking or not, im not the brightest but lmk if this is a good idea or not lul

  • I think this is an awesome idea. The only problem would be that ranks and reputation are constantly changing so a pirate lord may not have much time to set up their tavern before another takes their place. I do think having infamous real players or pirate lords is an amazing idea.

Something like this could develop overtime with the release of emissaries. If a pirate is at the top of an emissary for a long period of time, they may gain notoriety among other players. They could even make videos or streams that would increase their reputation as a master pirate. Imagine Jack Sparrow. He became famous among pirates for being seen doing tremendous things. Then the other pirates started to revere him as a "pirate lord" of sorts.👍
