So I have the Sea of Thieves controller, pre-ordered it, and I believe I threw away the code. I vaguely remember trying to use the code at one point to get the Ferryman set, and couldn't because it was available yet? So I put the code in the controller box and shelved it for when I could. Well my wife and I got a house last year and I threw away all my collectors controller boxes, Xbox One X box, Astro box, anything like that as I am super bad about keeping all that stuff. I was looking at my controller on my desk and just realized what I had done. Am I screwed? Can I prove that I am the original owner of the controller based off of pictures and the serial number and get a replacement code?

You are screwed, just showing a picture proves nothing and they don't know if you sold the first code and are trying to get a other one to do the same with.
@debo-stevo-ms The code was redeemable prior to the game's release. It would have been added to your Microsoft Account/Gamertag. Unfortunately, you are likely out of luck.
