Fishing issues especially during events

    So i never realized until this fishing event that others can take your fish off of your rod. This is stupid. I got to a sea post let my ship ghost sail away and just fish. It's my fault for not paying attention to my surroundings but other people have come up behind my stolen my ruby splashtail then either killed me or given me some other random fish in return for the ruby they stole maybe this has been mentioned before but I dont care this needs to be fixed.

    Try getting a rowboat, sailing to an island right next to the sea post, scuttle your ship, and just fish there. Nobody will attack you because your ships not there, and people will go to the seapost to turn in fish. When you want to turn in, just row to the seapost.

    Yikes man. If you're that unaware of your surroundings that people are stealing your fish then I gotta say SoT will be very difficult for you...

    @nastie-one-1981 Fixed? What do you mean, fixed? Homie, the fish is on the rod anyone can grab it. What sort of magical protection do you propose? Are you saying if you fish up a fish only you can take it off the rod? But, but why? And how? How does it work logically?!?! It's a fish on a rod dude!

    It looks like they got the slip on you and high-tailed it away. Don't be so salty about it, or you'll be so distracted that you'll fall for it again - hook, line, and sinker. Don't ask Rare to scale the game back because you were fish-eyed. Learn from your mistakes or you'll never fin.
