DLC and Microtransactions

  • What are your thoughts on this topic?

I'm old enough to remember the horse armor DLC. 😅

  • I micro feel micro transactions are fine as long as they don't give a unfair Advantage

  • It's not exactly simple but generally micro transactions are for Free to play games. DLC is ok as long as it doesn't lock you out of content you already bought and wasn't something that should have been in the release(so things like ME3 pre-order dlc that changes the base game). SoT micro-transactions are not ok in my eyes. They sold us and unfinished game that is still not quite to the $60 value 2 years later and they are making content that I have to pay extra for? Not to mention that SoT is entirely cosmetic so the "It's only cosmetic." is even more nonsensical to say than usual.

  • A lot of games I played back then had many features which were enjoyable, and they kept adding more as the newer titles came out.. now they take away features from the standard game and they're now only available with more expensive Super editions of the game or in game loot boxes.
