The Official Xbox One Chatpad doesn't work anymore if I choose "Xbox players with controllers" mode

    I was wondering about, why we can't use the Official Xbox One Chatpad anymore in the game? Are there any plans to bring this feature back?

    @tomesso unlikely. It's registered as a keyboard and can be used for keybinds. You could always choose to not opt out. I recently switched to pc gaming and I can promise you, the servers are no different....most players are oblivious and rarely you'll run into a decent crew.

    Nope. People wanted pad only, they got pad only. End of story.

    @tomesso worth while sacrifice easy enough to type with the normal chat box do it all the time

    I found a solution already and it works. There is an option in the settings menu that turns on the xbox virtual keyboard. I just hotkeyed it on the d-pad and the only thing I have to do just press the button on the dpad and I can type using my chatpad and all of my text messages appear in the game like before.
