Meanwhile...upstairs in the outpost tavern

  • ** Planning room / voyage creator**

Ok so I’ll try keep it nice and simple and not a long winded post,
I’m sure you’ve all noticed the broken stairs in the tavern leading to another floor! Pretty sure Rare didn’t add this as a mistake and it may be on the road map for some new content but I have an idea for this,
So the main premise of this is simple and could create more adventurous voyages, in your crew or solo you go to the ‘planning room’ where there is a table map, like on board all the ships, there is also a generic table where your ‘voyages’ can be dropped, more than one, let’s say up to 8 due to the map/voyage wheel having 8 slots.
Between you and your crew you can add any voyage - for example you drop a merchant voyage, an order of souls and two gold hoarders, once you all agree on the number of voyages for this adventure they show the island location as usual. You can then plot the route from the table map in the room which is mirrored on the ship docked up! However to make it interesting for both pirate legends and pirates on their way to pirate legend, you get an additional bonus for the number of voyages you place down, this could be as bonus coin/Dubloon and/or rep in a certain faction. There could be a level bar depending on the difficulty of the individual voyages to create the ultimate voyage, For example, you drop 1-2 voyages and the bar fills up to level 1, 3-5 voyages and you get level 2, 6-8 voyages to level 3 and so on! Again, dependant on the number of voyages once you complete them all another map appears where a new chest is shown for an added reward/incentive, like the Athena chest of legends.
On your map table there maybe an active fort or reapers bounty visible, this can be added into your voyage via the map table!

I’ve noticed a few posts regarding naming your ship, this could be done in the planning room??
There should also be a ‘ship right/merchant’ hybrid Or (Maybe a bilge rat representative) who offers supplies to start you off eg, a crate of cannon balls, wood, fruit! Even cursed cannon balls all for the right price, obviously all these can be picked up around the outpost/islands from barrels but if your going off on an ultimate voyage it’s always nice to have the ship stocked before departure.
This could even extend to gunpowder kegs, storage crates, empty treasure chests, as we all know these are handy when carrying loot and ship management.

The room could even be dukes and the bilge rat HQ, where gilded voyages become an integral part of the voyage system rather than a one off limited purchase! Heck Duke has been in that tavern long enough to set up residence right?

Wow, I’ve digressed but needed to get this out my brain, haha.
I’m sure the community will have their own input on this, hopefully positive but please add any suggestions or what could be wrong with this as you see fit.

    Thanks all,
    Safe sailing
