I suggest giving it a quick watch, but basically he says to run high level gold hoarder voyages for captain's chests and sell them at the reaper's hideout. I really see nothing wrong with this. I've done a few of the holiday voyages that guarantee captain's chests and I've made a lot of gold.
However, I was thinking that you might make more gold if you ran high level order of souls in the devil's roar. Ashen villainous skulls worth double gold might be one of, if not the highest selling common item in the game. Taking into account the spawn rate of these tier 1 items compared to other lower level loot during these voyages, and sail time not only between islands during the voyages but also to the reaper's hideout to sell, also environmental hazards and difficulty with killing the skeletons, do you pirates think it would be more beneficial to go after captain's chests, or ashen villainous skulls? OR.... can anyone think of other alternatives?
Personally I'd probably switch things up just so I'm not doing the same thing repeatedly.
