So I'm sure everyone has seen it, the blank space above the captain's quarters on the ships. There should be a mechanic that you can go over to the ship customization area and name your ship. The name would show on the side of a Sloop, on the back of a Brigantine, and above the captain's quarters, the ship names could also be showing on each side of the bow and on the stern painted onto the hull. There would, of course, have to be filtered on certain words, and there would be a vote for the name and or to change it so then you don't have that person you know the troll.
Again this could be a cool mechanic to add to the game and make it a bit more immersive. upvote if you agree
Ship Naming
I always imagined the ship names showing on each side of the bow and on the stern, painted onto the hull. You wouldn't have those annoying popups, you'd be able to simply see the name on the ship rather than ruining the mostly HUDless aspect of the game.
