Fort Reactivate

  • Hi ! I'm here for a feedback about the fort.

With my friend we do a fort, and at the end, someone hide steal us the key. After a pursuit, 100 hundred canonballs, 1 Kraken and 50 Megalodons, we can take back our key.

But during this time the same fort activate again (it was Hidden Spring Keep). So we Open the fort with our key (totally ignore all the skeletons on the island), take the loot and go to sell.

When we come back a Brig finish the fort and search the loot but nothing... because the loot isn't refresh.

Is that normal a Fort can activate himself if a crew has a key for open it ?

(Sory for my english, not my first language)

  • Yes you can use the key on the next fort and you can keep doing this.

Now you first get the loot and sell it and then you kill all skellies and get a new key for the next fort.

  • I hope Rare correct this... and hope it's not what Rare want x)

  • Hiiii!

I've had something like that happen twice.

    1. I finished a fort..got chased away and was forced into a server migration. I ended up getting thrown into a new server before finishing the fort I did (I had the key but didn't open the door) so when I joined the new server I was able to go to the active fort..open it and take the loot while it was still active. This caused a chain reaction on the new server where every fort completed had empty treasure rooms and every fort completed gave a key..that ended up being used on the new active fort.

    2. Today actually lol Did a fort, got the key and ran from a ship. Went back and the loot despawned. The fort didn't reactivate. It was just gone. So...I'm not gunna waste the key on an empty vault lol so I did like the first one and went to the active fort and opened it and took that loot instead lol

  • @reidjit it is made so that keys are not linked to the specific fort you completed (apart from fort of the damned)

During the whole time that brig was doing the fort they could have seen the door was open and no loot was there.

Nothing is stopping them though from taking the key they got to the next fort.

I see no issue with this
