Read that people are getting free ancient coins meanwhile I got nothing.
I'm not getting ancient coins.
I got 750, but I don't think any of the rest of my usual crew got anything. I guess it's a random giveaway for Christmas?
EDIT: I should point out that there was no notification or anything. I simply noticed I had 797 ancient coins in-game, whereas when I last checked I had 47 (from 3 ancient skeletons minus the cost of a pet).

You just need to login and find out?On the topic of ancient coins. I encountered 4 ancient skeletons, the 3 first ones died with 6 sword slashes maximum. But the last one I saw, I was on him before he was out of the ground. Got 12 sword slashes and he disappeared back in the ground without dying. Are some of them really tough and fast? That one was bugged?
I haven't encountered any in over a month, but the 4 my crew and I have taken out were as described for your first 3.

I received one for SoT and it states I should be receiving 500 AC for logging in between now and December 31st.
Since some haven't received it, I am going to guess it is a bug that is going to be addressed.
I will probably go through my transaction history to make sure mine add up because I think I may have been mistaken on what I received :)

That hide emote was already free for everyone. I feel freaking scammed!
Funny thing about this is, two people on my crew who have not bought a thing off the emporium each got 750 coins yesterday. Another crew member who has spent a decent bit along with myself did not. I'm not too bothered really (good for them!), but that coupled with an email for a free emporium gift that's just the free hide emote we've had for weeks, plus the persistent bugs/odd decisions has me really wondering how often the devs are in the pub.
I've been very supportive of the game and the people behind it, but I'm starting to lose faith a bit here.
Edit - The funny thing was just a funny thing. Whether people have or have not made Emporium purchases seems to have no effect on being gifted ancient coins based on responses later in this topic, and on the official discord server.
@Musicmee Can you reply to this? It seems weird you tell us you're giving an emote that was already free for everyone...

Why? People have come across the ancient skellies loads of times and had coins from them, but I never saw one. I play every day and I never met an ancient skelly. It's the same situation but I haven't been scammed. It's just luck of the draw.
I see today that you are giving for free 750 ancient coins to lucky players during this Festival of Giving.
First is unfair that under Christmas Eve you give bonus only to few player randomly chosen;
Second there is no luck involved, Is more accurate to talk about "unluck" of few players. I'm playing this game from day one. In my crew (about 20 players) all received the bonus in ancient coins, only me received nothing, where Is luck in this?

In-game RNG is not the same as a gift from the developers for their playerbase. This wasn't a competition we had to enter with a chance to win a prize.
@callmebackdraft same here.. ridicoulous. Someone have to teach them public relationship and marketing..

My wife and I have both spent some coin in the shop. She hasn't received anything (yet), and I have.
I have a crewmate who has also not spent anything in the shop at all and has received nothing.

-I have been banned on these forums
-I have been critical of Rare making the game too easy and adding no Pirate Legend content.
-I moaned constantly about Joes weekly update being no update at all.
- I have hardly played since March when the last of my crew reached Pirate Legend.
I still received 750 of these coins to my ledger. I can add them to my thousands of useless dabloons and millions in useless gold.
