Ashen Tresure Commendations (killing new captains)

So, I believe I've ran into this issue as well a few times. There's a couple possibilities I'd like to throw out there for you to consider, @WeakDexx.

• First, I'd like to mention that this is an online game hosted by servers, and I believe that our save data is either also on these servers or their own servers. Neither of this is relevant to each other, rather more relevant to latency. Sometimes it can take a few minutes or more for the commendations progress to update correctly, so be sure to check it later as well to see if the kills were ever added.

• Secondly, I'd like to say that I've also encountered times when it would appear the kill didn't count. Either the above (waiting for the commendation to update) worked, or the only other work-around that seemed to solve the issue was ensuring that you yourself actually get a hit in on the boss. This should be a sure fire way of getting the commendation progress.

Sadly the 2 pointers u mention, i do know of.

1: Always refresh when checking. First check on commendations will need to be refreshed to show u your new number (known issue i always refresh)
If the latency comes in later. Than its later as in a new day orso. I played 7 hours+ yesterday and didnt help me to refresh)

Number 2:
I was always the first to fight the captain. Always made sure i either sword, or shoot him or both.

We even came up with the idea that some of our captains got killed by Fire, Lightning, Exploding themselves with barrels or Geysers in DR. BUT this didnt seem true. Since 1 crewmate got the commendation whilst i didnt get it.

@weakdexx Ah, well, I certainly tried my best to help! I'm sorry I couldn't have been of more assistance, however, I'm sure the developers are aware and currently looking into this issue. It seems that bug reports are in no shortage of supply, so it may take some patience before they can finally address it.

Thanks though, for having brought this up! As I've mentioned before, I too have encountered times where this issue has seemed to appear for me. Though, I must admit, it hasn't stopped me from grinding though! XD

I like the game and will continue to be a pirate.
From time 2 time i will get a commendation done :)
Its not about the commendations that i play.

gun or sword has to be the finishing blow. Cannon, Keg, Snake, Volcano kills do not award commendation progression

Not true.
I use mutli kegs on 1 spot and shoot it when captain is near. It will 1 shot him to death. And i can say with certainty this makes it count.

@rusty-xbone @WeakDexx I have had keg kills not count and cannon kills count. All Mutinous Helmsman kill counted, one Two Faced Scoundrel did not and I have had 5 or 6 Dutchess kill not count. It seems kind of sporadic as to what works and what doesnt and what it credits you for. I will say the past 2 or 3 days it's seems all kills by sword, gun or cannon has worked for any of them.

Let me rephrase it than. A keg CAN work XD
But as we read this topic we notice that there is no 1 way of making it count or not. It seems we all have tried diffrent manners with diffrent outcomes.

Hope this gets addressed by the devs :)
