I spent all day gathering the different infinity lanterns with my friend. Then when we got them we found ritual skull, sailed to the Thanos fort and started it. When we were doing it we died countless times to different skeletons with auto aim. Then we sunk because of the other sloop that thought it would be a Gr8 idea to fight us. We spawned on the other side of the map and sailed back with the wind blowing against our sails. Luckily we knew that sloop is fastest when going against the wind. Anyway we sunked and killed them with ease. Time after time we died on that fort but everytime we spawned back we checked the horizon for incoming ships. There were none so we kept doing the fort but when the Graymarrow spawned, sloop appeared on the horizon. Sloop was just standing away from the fort and I knew that theyre just waiting for us to do the fort so they can steal it. And even though we knew about them, in the end they did stole it from us. And that was the first time when I though that singleplayer mode would be really nice. I am still a little bit mad. I mean so much loot and time wasted. I ain´t gonna do that ever again. And it was just two man crew. Blunderbusses though. Tell me guys do we really just suck so much at this game?

Cloud events are server wide events and being contested is to be expected.
Did you put up a good fight? If yes, that means you had a chance. If no, do you know what you could have done better?
Learn from the experience. If you had fun, win or lose it isn't the end of the world.
This is a multiplayer online environment and there are always going to be better people that you will meet in a shared world. Keep in mind if your win rate vs other pirates is above 50% of the time, you are doing pretty darn well.
@cotu42 Yer right mate. I mean after all, this game is called Sea of Thieves for a reason. So being a true pirate and stealing stuff is a part of the game. And honestly, when that big boy cloud would appear in my session I would probably went there too, to see what is going on. As the Pirate Lord said himself:

Not really the sort of thing you should ask on an official game forum.
That said, just get Game Pass if you don't want to buy the game. It's a fairly good value to get access to this and many other games.

@callmebackdraft Actually my Captain Tiberius was shooting himself at them just to make sure that they don't attack us. I mean it should've been my job since the Captain shouldn't get his hands dirty with some pirates. But neither one of us is good at PvP at this game. We should get into PvP more often, to get comfortable fighting other people. Maybe even play the Arena.

so personally i feel sea of thieves owes me a game!Maybe Microsoft owes it to you, or the store that sold you the console, but not Rare, so you're complaining in the wrong place. However, I'm quite certain you're mistaken. Microsoft has regularly used this game to advertise Game Pass, including selling consoles with SoT art on the box iirc. But it doesn't come with a game key, it comes with game PASS. Which includes this game.
