Why dont they just keep selling the different mercenary voyages?
I liked the mercenary reapers for captn chest..
Yesterday we did ashen chests the whole day!
Nobody finished the ugly boring rag and bone crate commendations..
And we just want animal voyages or choose our athena voyages..

Anyway we just buy and cancel until we find something we like but it would be a great improvement if we have more freedom to pick a voyage we do need or like.

Yep, I thought the same, how are u gonna be able to steal something that almost nobody ever finds... Just sounds dumb if the quest aren't able anymore to keep thoose commendations.

As others have said they wash up on shores, I've seen 2 at mermaids hideaway since the event. Even when late they count for steals / delivery unless commendation says "on time". I'd recommend recruiting ships into an alliance and inviting them to party chat. If they come across one and don't need it maybe they will give to you. If they touch it first it should theoretically count as stolen. Still it might take awhile

I've found a few, always expired. So I move them a few steps and hope someone gets them for a steal.

@ruigtand-nl I finished all of the commendations during the event and then some. Not only did I enjoy doing them since I could stock up on so many crates, at first they were very rewarding.

I would collect 17 crates from both voyages and deliver to two of the seaposts earning doubloons, keeping the other crates for my second trip. I'd load up on 17 more and deliver to the other two seaposts earning both doubloons for my second batch and gold for what was left of my first batch. I would be making a pretty high amount of gold for each late crate and saving time by only delivering to two seaposts each trip. They nerfed the gold amount though and that's when I stopped farming them.

I did however continue to help random people that needed stolen crates. One session I was sure there were at least two sloops running crates so I sailed over to shipwreck bay before I logged off and dug up 10 to leave for the next crew that showed up, and I encountered an ancient skeleton. The whale lord had blessed me for helping fellow pirates.

Those voyages were so similar to normal cargo runs but with a simple yet huge difference, and that is being able to acquire all your cargo from the same island. I despise cargo runs but I really enjoyed those voyages.

Im jalous i have 3 commendations i still need for stealing etc.
The loot did not look nice and now i cant find or buy them its annoying.

Also missed some other mercenaries with some tokens or something..

I dunno why they are time limited i cant keep up with all these and still need to do them tall tales..

@ruigtand-nl It does seem a lot harder to get these crates, especially stolen. The loot table for washed up treasure is so large, I imagine the chance that it's a skull and bone crate is pretty low, let alone the specific one you might need. Even if you do find one, you can't touch it if you want it to be stolen.

I'll do my part to help people. Any time I see one, I'll pick it up and drop it, making it stolen for anyone else that may find it. I might even take it with me and leave it on the dock of the outpost before I leave. Unfortunately I've only seen three or four since the event.

I don't think the commendations require them to be on time though. If I remember correctly, there were 9 commendations that required the crates to be on time. 8 commendations for turning in one crate on time to each of the eight seaposts, and then a ninth for completing all eight. The rest, including the stolen ones, could be achieved with late crates.

Jup i need the stolen ones but then by now we are hunting the new voyage commendations so we are no longer looking for it..
Hard to keep up with all these voyages. They should just keep selling all mercenaries maybe make them more expensive to buy but at least you can keep playing them when you like to..
