Whirlpools and Maelstroms

  • Im sure someones suggested it but we need more weather types. I feel like a maelstrom or Whirlpool would be a good one to implement, Your stirring would be like that of a storm but locked in one direction. Imagine a battle like the one at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean Worlds end. With the new harpoon, if there is a rock nearby you can grapple onto it to help break out of the Whirlpool. You could fight a skeleton fleet in a massive storm!! I really just wanna see whirlpools or maelstroms so that's all i got.

Some sort of thing where it could form around an island and then reveal the lower parts of it, along with very valuable chests in those areas, would be nice as well. As for the skeleton fleet thing, that'd be great as well, especially with things like lightning being a factor.

  • I did actually make a suggestion around a unique Skeleton “fleet”. Rather it was a singular Skeleton galleon covered in barnacles and a small reef. It’s symbol would be a stormy cloud with the ship. Upon entering, the whirlpool comes to life as the ship is exposed in the middle. You would be able to drop kegs in the water to let the flow drag it to their hull. To defeat them you would have to destroy the reef on the hull before “sinking it” by destroying the hull. At which point the whirl pool tears the ship apart as the whirlpool subsides. From there several ship fragments would surface with skulls, chests, and other loot. If you fail to keep your distance the covered hull of it would shred yours and sink it. Sorry if I kinda hijacked with the post, but thought you could maybe build off of the idea.
