Cross platform is making SOT a pay to win game

    I just played Sea of Thieves on a really good PC. As a veteran of the game, i usually play xbox with mouse and keyboard.

    To anyone calling PC being OP a myth, you could not be more wrong.
    I could tell the difference. I could snipe players while on waves as i could compensare smoothly at 144fps, no oone could beat me in combat, could not be sunk as my loading times wese 2 sec, could just spam sword while staying behind my opponent at all times.

    Certain things you can pull off on PC are simply impossible and incomprehensible on Xbox. My buddy said he will only play on PC cuz it's impossible to lose in the long run.

    If I could afford a £2000 alienware gaming PC i would get one. In such a case, this came is pay to win. Just pay for a crazy PC and you have GOD mode on. Dont to mention drawing distance and other such things.

    Dont tell methis is not a thing as i clearly have seen for myself. The difference is very noticeable. VERY.
    Anything else are just excuses to protect PC players. Its an inside culture to deny all these claims so that they can keep their leverage.

    My suggestion is, either remove crossplatform and reduce the amount of PC servers so that PC players are more concentrated, or limit the PC version of the ge to 30fps and same graphic specs as xbox.... Then it'll be fair. ![alt text](image url)

    I felt an alternative to buffing the pistol would be to allow bonus damage or instant kill from doing headshots, since headshots are not relevant in SoT. But imagine the edge pc players would have if that were to happen

    The fact that you made this thread a month ago and then the way you worded this thread makes me wonder the validity of your words.

    FPS doesn't make you better at the game and monitor refresh rate won't help. But if monitor refresh rate is the problem then hook your xbox up to your monitor.

    When I had an xbox I would play on it off and on. Took a while to learn but once I had it, I had it. My friends play on xbox and never ever hear them say "oh man, we lost to some PC players". What I usually hear them say is "We sank a bunch of noobs at a fort and took all their loot".

    Some xbox players can do it, some can't. Some PC players are good, some aren't. Some PC players have high end rigs, a lot of us don't. There are Xbox original players in the game but xbox players don't see it as a problem because who cares if Xbox One Original is almost less than half of the power of the One X and slower at respawn loads. Since it says xbox on the side then its fine.

    Its just PC hate. Get over it man.

    I've been playing the game at 30fps for about a month now and have not witnessed any changes in game play. Frames aren't what matters, its hit registrations. Xbox is cheaper than high end computers and the games created for them are optimized for that hardware. PC games don't get that luxury. Each game is optimized for whatever hardware is high end at that time.

    You get the luxury of being able to play the game comfortably without having to upgrade every year. Its a trade off. The trade off still doesn't make you better at the game.

    Instead of whining about cross play, you could instead just request that Rare unlock the video settings for the xbox so that players can optimized their settings better, you would have gotten xbox and even PC players to agree with you, but nope, like any other thread, you have to fit in your PC propaganda somewhere in there and get no where.

    We don't need opt out.

    @skylerpk this has nothing to do with cross platform...

    This is basicly “if you have a better machine you load faster and have higher framerates”

    This has nothing to do with the basics of pc vs xbox because most pc players dont have a 2000 dollar rig

    And every single multiplayer game has the same “issue” because there are going to be players with 2000 dollar machines but the majority runs on cheaper machines.

    So using strawman arguments in a misconstrued manner to try and fit a narrative for crossplay.

    I play on both systems and can kill on both systems all fine and dandy, maybe because i dont hide behind this “console is worse then pc bs”

    A console is a computer just as much as a pc is one the only difference is, is that its harder to upgrade parts in it.
