Frozen islands...

@orebene wierd your the second guy to suggest a frost area north this week. normally people want it on the west side of the map, you know the opposite side of the flaming hot volcanic area, idk why you do want it north next to the volcano area?

I must not be the only pirate that thinks a snow globe area is stupid.

Why would pirates venture into a cold inhospitable sea? For the rich plunder that must obviously be there?
Yeah right. Fantasy pirates as wannabe explorers.

Not that SoT is based on reality, but it would take months of sailing to get from a tropical climate to a frozen tundra, but they ya'lls want to play in a snow globe, anyways.

Like in Westworld, with the different theme parks.
Just ridiculous.

I'd rather see an Asian pirate world.

@Barnabas-Seadog : Well, I just thought that cold ambiance could be... different ! And offers new, fresh storytellings ways.
And the idea of slalom between icebergs to escape pursuers sounds fun and tricky, also new game mechanics as I mentioned.

Anyway, your idea of an Asian style world is also excellent !
And without these "wannabe explorers", these "inveterate fishermens" or these "greedy traders"; fierce pirates (like you ?) would eat their shoes !!!

Yes, it's "sea of thieves", not "sea of pleasure trip", but I fully assume that I'm a sweet dreamer, hoping for aliances, mutual aid, far from struggle...

they could do it the way the DR is, its not exactly east, its east south east, one chunch of it lays lower than the rest of the map. they could do the same on the opposite side of the map only with it going up not down.

also i also have no clue where the research tool is so dw. we see the same ideas alllll the time.

@Barnabas-Seadog SOT is literally described as a fantacy pirate game. look at the DR i dont think its likely that that is so close to the rest of the island, has that many volcanos constantly erupting and the rest of the sea of thieves is fine, it isnt covered in sut and ash. if it was realistic all the islands on the map would be messed up by these vulcanos. it should take months to sail from the DR to find a tropical area. the sea of thieves is a mysterious land where fog known as the shroud literally moves through islands leaving nothing but death and destruction. idk about you but that doesnt sound realistic to me. furthermore a vast majority of players seems to love the idea of a frozen zone and you are actually the first person i have seen in a poo ton of these exact posts to actually disagree. pirates were quite literally explorers, they explored the sea, found many different islands. whats your point about wannabe explorers? lol

Yes we need this battling around floating icebergs would be awesome maybe the water could even do damage to you like the water around dr during a volcano does
