And boy, is it neate (heh). I love playing this game and i always wanted to do it on the go. This is wonderful. My one issue i've found is there is slight input lag sometimes, and occasionally the game doesnt realise i stopped walking 3 seconds ago. Other than that, its really good! I love the performance. If im completely honest, using xCloud gave me the fastest loading screen ive ever had on this game, over xbox and pc. Being able to play SoT and other xbox games on my phone is just awesome. I'd love to hear of other peoples experiences with this!
Just got my xCloud invite!!!
All my experiences have been through Xcloud, as my upload speeds at home are not the best and 5gbs is required for console streaming.
The loading times are awesome, as is not having to install a game before you play it - the games are just there and ready to go.
I've tried pretty much all the games available, and for those that depend on quick reaction times it's going to take some getting used to.
Using mobile data seems to be much the same as using a 2.4GHz WiFi connection in regard to input lag, this is not scientific but if feels like maybe a tenth of a second. Using a 5GHz connection seemed to half the input lag, again not scientific and I'm not sure how it makes a difference.
I put down a gold hoarder mission and played through it with no issues at all, but all the while I knew that if I encountered another pirate I'd have been toast and lost all my loot.
I'm not sure how to use game chat or party chat whilst streaming the game, so comms is an issue, but that might just be me.To summarise, I'll definitely be signing up for streaming once it's available - hopefully it's something they'll bundle with game pass ultimate.
@goedecke-michel with the input lag and issues atm, not really, but it can be made better. I love everything about it. I could fight, but there are times when the controller would keep doing actions that i stopped 1-2 seconds ago that threw it off. Other times, the buttons wouldnt work at all. Generally a good experience with room to improve.
@goedecke-michel @testakleze look up project xcloud, and there should be a website to sign up. Then you wait anywhere from a week to a month or 2, then you wait for an email from xbox to see if you got in or not.
