Any fix for infinite load screen after death?

    I just died on the boss wave of a skeleton fort, and I've been stuck at the black load screen for about 10 minutes. I can still hear my allies in chat, and the game sound effects, but the game doesn't seem to want to finish loading. I see a lot of old threads about this issue, and I see there was
    a patch to address it; but it seems the problem remains for some. The game was extremely laggy after grouping up with a couple guys on a sloop, and that may have something to do with it?

    Any way to get unstuck other than restarting?

    There really isn't one. With the new game save feature you might be able to hard quit the game and load back it. But this is untested so ur risk

    Part of the loading is related to drive speed, but there are still bugs that cause long and infinite loading. No mention of status on locating the source of these bugs either.

    If you can force quit the game, you can use the rejoin session feature to reconnect and hopefully not lose anything.
