@chriso-dster thats not fair to people who own the game through the game pass, i mean if someone has a game pass do you really expect them to buy the game? plus i assume sea of thieves recieves a cut from the game pass sales. i dont feel like because i bought the game i did rare a solid. its just that i dont play xbox so i dont need a game pass.
I do appreciate your points (to you both) But what I would argue, Rockstar gift players who bought the Ultimate Edition as a thank you occasionally whether it’s R*$ or cosmetic items. Rare gifted a pre order outfit which they recently revamped to the mercenary gear so it now feels a bit naff.
I’m not saying Rare should gift like 1000 coins, that would be crazy. And yeah of course they’ll get a cut of the game pass, but for those people who supported the game when there was nothing in it really (launch and pre launch) I’m just suprised they’ve not thought to gift SOME coins.
But no, of course Rare, nor any other game dev, owe players anything. Just be a nice gesture for those who paid upfront.
