Why RARE? Paid more in-game for Skeleton content than your own Microsoft Xbox.com Store.

  • Breakdown:
    Parrot and Money - 1,000 Ancient Coins - $8.99
    4 Emotes - 499 Ancient Coins - $4.49
25K in-game gold - no immediate value but saved time
    550 Ancient Coins - $5.39
    Total: $18.88 in value
Cost of Bundle on Xbox.com: $16.99
My Cost due to Xbox Game Pass: $15.29

Looked on Xbox.com and there is a bundle to get the skeleton parrot and marmoset monkey that is not time-limited and in addition it comes with 550 Ancient Coins, 25K of in-game gold and an emote, and with my Xbox Game Pass I get it all at a discount which would have given me a cost savings of $3.59 plus free 25K in Gold that I do really need in-game right now.

I would ask for my money back of Ancient Coins so I can buy this console/Xbox.com bundle & then spend my refunded Ancient Coins on the Killer Instinct bundle, but nope Ancient coin purchases are not refundable but Xbox.com purchases are. Geez. Last purchase I make with the in-game store for sure. Gonna let the remaining thousands of in-game Ancient Coins I've purchased just sit there now that I see customers are treated like this.

You're lost the confidence of this "whale" buyer. For those that do not know what a whale buyer is, it is someone who can be important to games that rely on microtransactions as part of their business model.

  • They done the same by not applying the gamepass discount until a day or two after they milked the whales dry first. It’s been a terrible handling from day one.

  • Given Rare’s tremendous post launch support, I’m willing to overlook some of their MT choices. That said, that will only last so long.

The whole “free dlc” becomes irrelevant when MTs are in the mix. Rare really needs to be uphill from here on out.

Gotta say though, the time-limited cursed pets should ideally be removed from the store post-next update. Rare did state that these were Halloween only, and would go thereafter. If they plan on removing them from the game’s emporium, but keep them on the storefront, that defeats the whole point.

  • That's actually really annoying. Is this just a blunder between Microsoft and Rare's team? If so, I'm going to buy from Microsoft purely because it's the cheaper option and I won't have to worry about these "time-limited" pets. You should sort this out with them stat.

  • Those dollars to ancient coins conversions are not as good as the conversion of dollars to ancient coins when buying the larger ancient coin packages.
In other words, if you purchase the larger coin bundles, you get more coins per dollar than that gamepass bundle deal.

  • I want to say THANK YOU for all of the positive posts and understanding instead of making fun of me. I appreciate this community so much!
