Console only version of this game

Meaning they haven't even begun programming it, they're still discussing ways to implement it to see if its even possible.

At about 3:45 confirms that they are implementing it and have done a bunch of work on it already.

Incorrect... They're confirming the feature for Arena, explaining that the work they've done has been prioritized for Arena, and then describing how that system works, and then after that, the literal phrasing is from 5:55 "and then we plan to bring it to adventure after that."

No promises, no confirmation... Just, intent.

Plans change, bro... in the latest, or the previous developer update (one of those) their exact phrasing was "looking into it" regarding optional crossplay for adventure.

A lot of pro-opt-out people have had a tendency of projecting their wishes onto what these dev updates say... Claiming Rare has "promised" things they haven't promised, and claiming features are "confirmed" when they aren't.

I'm all for an input-based opt-out... Splitting the playerbase is bad for the game, so separating the playerbase into Xbox and PC is unacceptable...

But that doesn't mean we can't remove the KB&M variable for those controller-users who don't want to play with KB&M players.

I can always plug a controller into my computer, and play with the controller boys, but i cannot turn my computer into an Xbox.

This compromise gives everyone what they want, a solid united playerbase, and an opt-out from MLGers, somewhat. :)

Every other Xbox title previously that also supported crossplay gave the option if the player wishes to join the crossplay servers or not.

Never before did a title supporting crossplay force it on its console users. Rare were the first to do this.
And it seems it hasn't been the most popular of decisions.

If yes, then he's correct about you buying the game impulsively you know, meaning it's your own fault for not doing the research first... That's the point he's making. :o

Me personally, if i had seen "supports crossplay", i would've been confused and asked myself, out loud: "What does that even mean? I know what crossplay is, but "supports crossplay"? Might as well just say "there's crossplay." equally vague and unspecific, like is there permanent crossplay, or a game mode with crossplay, or a setting where you can turn it on and off? What?" and then proceed to, as i actually did, do some light research by googling the game. :P

When you walk into a store, and you encounter a bin of this:

The only times i have ever bought a game from these things, is when i have money to waste on uncertainties, or i find a good ol' classic i know is worth spending money on of course... because the fact of the matter is, nearly all xbox games have incorrect or unreliable information on their box cover. I have a whole bunch of Xbox original and Xbox 360 games with weird and incorrect information on them. :P

Apparently, production errors are common for the box covers. :o

I tried googling the Sea of Thieves box cover, and i find like 4-5 different versions, all containing different information, some of which the others simply don't have.

If you're an Xbox player, you should be used to this by now, because this has been a thing since the original Xbox days, it's nothing new. ._.

Even the information given by Steam on some games is often inaccurate, or entirely missing... Some games on steam are listed as single player only, and yet have multiplayer game modes...

I've been a gamer since i was 11 years old, i've made my mistakes, i've learned my lessons... I do my own research now, i don't rely on the highly varied and unreliable information of a singular piece of box art.

So everyone that likes the game as it is is a pc player? Good to know, I thought I was on Xbox.

Also, speaking of private servers, most people are fine with private servers without progression. And Crossway opt out is coming(most likely), be patient.
