Changing servers and losing loot

    Lost over 20 skulls and a variety of loot, took us worth an hour of game time and due to a server change we lost all the loot. It was on a row boat that was attached to the ship. I think if a row boat is attached to a ship it should be at least apart of it. Its extremely fustrating to find yourself collecting a mass amount of loot, only to lose it because of a server change. I dont see the point of the row boats if I lose my loot on them whilst also using them to collect loot.

    I also thought the treasure was to drop in the water if the row boat was to disappear, but this didnt happen this time.

    Is there any way to stop this from happening or its actually inevitable that you'll loose treasure?

    @chiipeu I can tell you now that isn't supposed to happen. Maybe it's a new bug or you just got very very unlucky. The servers are struggling tonight, hopefully it's something that won't happen again.

    That sucks, sorry that happened. Try not to keep your loot on the rowboat while you're adventuring, but always be ready to quickly put the most valuable stuff on it for a quick save.

    The rowboat can take damage and become detached from the back of your boat and you might miss that in the heat of combat. Boulders from volcanoes, Meg bites, cannon fire. All of these will knock the boat right off and sometimes it can be so damaged it just sinks.

    Rowboats are great lifeboats. Its really useful to quickly deploy for gathering resources, getting close to an island with a volcano going off, or going on a stealth adventure. I've had many memorable rowboat adventures, and had to learn the hard way about not keeping loot on them for long. Hope this helps.

    I think the rowboat sinks very slow too, taking the loot deep with it. It could be possible you didn't wait long enough for the loot to resurface. It's a long way back up. Again, really sucks if it was a glitch that was just plain out of your control.
