Save files?

  • I feel like sot should have save files atleast 3 so if you want to start over again but keep your other save then you can do so or if people share the same console they can have a save each tell me what you think of this idea thanks! :D

  • On xbox if you own the game, have xbox live gold and have that console set as home you can make infinite new accounts on said xbox. Each new account on your xbox wil get free xbox live and all your games (SoT) for free. So technically you can have infinite different save files on SoT

Al stated above for multiple people make different accounts, so they can have their own save.

For multiple pirates for the same person is not required as there is no linear progress or differences between pirates that warrant the storage space to make an alt.

  • I would like the ability to save presets of our cosmetic choices. Example would be say a build for PVP vs. like an every day build.

  • @xshadovvhunterx although this is definitely only an issue for pirates with large wardrobes, it'd be a lovely addition.

I'd love to be able to board, run to the clothes box and switch into my hidin' clothes quickly for a tuck.

  • Storing save files locally (on any system) in an online game would mean massive hacking. One would simply have to access the savefile (with some tool or not, depends on the save file) and (in this game) change the gold, doubloons, progress and so on and then start the game with the new stuff. Many games use a cloud and a local save, and in some cases you can edit the local save and then force the game to update that file to the cloud.

So my opinion, in all online games, keep all save data on the game servers, just to keep the game clean from exploiters.

  • @saws-n-sins But its easier than setting up a whole new account when you can click leave game then new save file. Plus you could use it for starting over again also microtransactions should transfer over every save.
