Would be nice to see at least one more class of ship added. The sloop is small enough so maybe a larger model is the way to go. With a crew of maybe 6 to 8 players. An additional deck, and more cannons. Maybe 10 guns. The possibility to carry two row boats, more supply storage. I don't know just spitballing.
Larger class of Ship
First of all Welcome to the Forum
This gets asked for a lot around these parts.
Personally as the game stands I believe it would unbalance the game.
Now... with that said.
It occurs to me if they were to split the servers, then this might be possible.
Whether there is a will to do so is another matter.Option One
- Standard server setup Sloop, Brig, Gally
Option Two
- Big Ship Server, ie populated with Gally & "New Ship Type" only.
I'm pretty certain this wouldn't happen, but maybe a method to accommodate a larger ship class & also to help maintain a balance in player experience.
The other issue is that if this done, other requests for PvP or PvE servers, Crossplay, no crossplay... the list is endless in their combinations.
Raises it's head into this mix. It would also technically divide the player base further... so not a great fan of it.Not something I would like into the game... but I can see & respect why others might.

There could be a option to join the so called "Big Ship Server" with a sloop if you like at your own risk.

To answer your question/statement I googled on your behalf... hope this helps :)
Fairly certain this is already planned for the future. The sea in it's current iteration is far to small, and server capacity smaller still. What I'd prefer before this is ownership of vessels. Having a ship I can customize inside, and out. Decide where things go, and the sort. Maybe even install a piano, or organ in the cabin!
