Do NOT Add PvE servers
I love it when PvErs run away for their lives and loot, is the best feeling on the world. The best feeling on this game is when a ship that just did a lot of stuff and has a lot of loot in it, gets sunk by you and your crew :D
Please let players like me do our thing and steal from those players. That's what this game is all about. Do NOT listen to players asking to make a private PvE server.
They won’t add PvE servers....it’s a PvE and PvP game... and the game description reads;

When it comes down to a proper fight where both sides are up for a brawl, I do enjoy it :) but just to ruin someones adventure session and their day? Nah.. I'm not that kind of person.

Oh totally dude. I'm empathetic. I love charities, I always carry spare change on me for the guys cleaning windows on the feeder stops next to the freeways. Didn't bring lunch money? I got my co-workers. Need help with that quiz? I'll help you study.
But that's who I am as a person. As a player, the moment I log on I become Captain Rod man, and the moment Captain Rod spots a crew that has spent four hours of their time doing all of this work in-game to get their commendations etc., I'm after them.
I do not care about the gold. I do not care about the ships. I do not care about the commendations. All I care is whoever is in front of me will remember me. Remember me for being that guy who just stole their time spent :) Last week I made some 40 year old dude go crazy after me and my boys took all his crew's loot. Wasn't that easy, we followed them for hours. And I gotta tell ya, I love being a thief pirate! Think of it as the John Wick of the seas! :D I have it on stream it was hilarious ha, ha!
It is game, a game about Pirates and Thieves. Better be prepared man. The best feeling is when you do other players like that man. Don't believe me? You're welcomed to sail with us one night and see how awesome that is :D
Occasionally I will respect the alliances, if any, but they sure better prove themselves to me and my crew.

Agreed. I'm just reassuring the developers their game is working perfectly as intended. For real men and women who know how to be a pirate! Not for cowards.
if they made pve servers people who wanted to do missions would go do pve, then all the people who love pvp wouldnt be rewarded with the usual treasure when they sink a ship because the only other people they will be running into is people who arent looking for chests and gold, so IT WOULD BE A TERRIBLE IDEA TO ADD PVE SERVERS all the people that want pve servers just need to learn that its called sea of thieves for a reason
@clarionz your not fit to be a pirate, good luck on the seas you poor soul. lol you also need to understand that if people are feeling terrible if you sink them and steal their treasure then they are too weak to be playing online video games, or maybe you can see it as making them into stronger people. you know what I mean

In that moment, when they lose the loot they feel bad. That just sets them up to feel ten times as good when they do manage to turn in loot the next time though.
Both sides gambled. One side lost. It could have gone the other way and the guy with the loot would have had the loot plus a huge sense of relief and accomplishment from successfully defending it.
Not wanting others to be allowed attack you for your loot is like playing a game of soccer and then when you get passed the ball picking it up and shouting:
"It's my ball, I'm going home, to hell with you guys who also want to play!"
@rodlimitless and players like you is exactly why pve servers are needed your only interested in ruining people’s adventure instead of creating your own and you only want us pve players to remain because against other pvp players you would get owned and get less enjoyment out of the game just like you inflict on others I think battles are fun and can be enjoyable but dedicating your whole sea of thieves time just ruining other peoples fun is exactly why since the twitch craze the game has gotten worse and I would rather avoid players like you

Hate to shatter your reality, but Joe Neate already said that private servers were coming and he wants to see them arrive sooner rather than later.

@rodlimitless I mean I wouldn’t call them cowards, they just have a different playstyle which is fine, but they know they can encounter people playing the PvP side just by reading the games description. Personally I like both aspects of the game and that’s why I play it sometimes I’m doing PvE and get jacked by a galleon which is fine I knew the possibilities when I started playing the game.
I might be wrong. I think I remember something said pretty recently on private servers.
Think it was one of the streams, didn't say it out & out.
But it was referenced as a possible inclusion at a later date, as they acknowledged groups of people wishing to play together.
Might happen off the back end of "Arena" first as I would see it more desirable for PvP action.
@aglasgowthing The thing of it is that games change throughout their existence, and there are people in these forums who need to accept that fact.
My own playstyle has become more PvP oriented over time (heck, I'm looking into a lapboard so I can ditch my controller to PvP more effectively), so I will most likely only use a Private Server when I take my son on a voyage, so he can enjoy the game. Otherwise, I'll be in the standard mode with my crew, fighting and looting.
@new-world-clogs Personally, I don't think a private server should provide any rewards towards achievements. If a player wants what many of us have already earned in the open world, earn it in the open world.
I also think that PvE servers would take away a huge aspect of the game. I'm playing only for a few days now, and I was pi**ed off two times now because some other players attacked us for no reason, even after I talked to them and asked to stop. I learned from this and realized that this is just the way to play the game. Instead of getting salty like the sea, I'm just the same now. Trust nobody you don't know, except they can prove that they're trustworthy. Get with the game or play something different if you want to avoid PvP

@aglasgowthing it was fine before the twitch craze and popularity sure you got attached once in a while and maybe you would attack a fort and successfully get away with 2 out of 5 loads but lately it’s constant attacks no matter what you do attack a cursed crew get attacked by players going to a fort is 100% your getting attacked seems lately with the influx of pc players and new players they don’t seem interested in adventure and what the game has to offer but only wanna steal and attack other players

More people that can be pirate, and more people that don't want to fight.
I'm not seeing a problem apart from that you had it too easy before being able to walk away with 2 forts worth of loot where as now you have to fight for it.

@clarionz If they have treasure they're fair game. End of story. If they're at port with no treasure then yeah I can see the struggle, unless they're in your parking spot....

I like how this person has to add in there "seems lately with the influx of pc players". How do you know there is an influx of pc users and not xbox users? Profiling a group to fit your little agenda.

Once again someone trying to label people into a category. Stop trying to place a stamp on people, you are a PvE or PvP player most people are both and neither. People aren't that binary.
I am a pirate, I am an opportunist and at times it is better to flee than to fight based on what I want to achieve, who I am with and my mood. Maybe I am low on supplies, have a ton of loot or just don't think it is worth my time as I am about to call it a night.
Why would I sit there and fight you if I am by myself or just dug up an Athenas while you clearly have nothing to offer me if I beat you?
Why wouldn't I flee to an outpost, sell what I care about and then turn to engage or just sail on cause I don't feel like giving you the fight you want?
I am against PvE servers, but not because I only hunt others... it is because I enjoy all aspects of the game and the mystery of who is behind those sails on the seas and I don't want to choose what types of pirates I come across or that I am from the initial menu.
Posts like this are just as bad, as those asking for PvE servers, because you are asking the community to choose a side PvE or PvP... most of us aren't one or the other. Stop trying to divide and polarize us into camps.
It is bad for the game and provides ammunition of "toxic pirates only out there to ruin my game" for PvE advocates to point at and say see that is what I am talking about.
While in most cases they are being sunk by someone like me, who under other circumstances might have allied them.
Aye . Im playing the game for 6 weeks avery day . Like most pirates i agree on the PvP part , Its a pirate game ! Both i allso agree on the PvE ! Rear scored many new players and all those players play difrent . U have pirates that know everything, pirates that know the most things. And pirates ho just started playing the game . As soon i run into pirates that are low in lvl im not taking them down straight away . Thay wil have to shoot first or no batle for me . Pirates i encounter on the seas that want a PvP batlle ! Come gat it ! Pirates sealing away becos thay cant or wont battle need to be respected 2 . Eather way . Private server isnt a option . It takes a way the feal of the game . Both on that a PvE server wil do the same it wil take away the feal in game . So maybe people need to reasen a bit more while sailing the seas . Crushing new players wil result in them not palying anymore . So maybe a ballansing system needs to be invented . To sort out the new players and ledgends !
Most of all i dont want new players to stop playing ! U need 2 help those pirates learning the ropes . And maybe u wil meed again in the futere . And have 1 epic battle u never had !

You stated that you followed this crew for hours. In my opinion this is griefing. All you are about is ruining the experience for any other player, so you can laugh at them. Maybe you should take a real chance in the game and do some voyages, maybe risk something yourself. I doubt you are man enough to do that though.
