But to give you an on topic answer (this and many other topics about the same subjects), i vote against.Simply because PVE only takes all the excitement out of the game. This game is meant to be PVP. Not knowing who you playing with and what their intentions are makes the game so great!
For the optional crossplay, i think this would seperate the playerbase so much it will bleed to death. Unfortunatly Rare hasn't given any number of xbox and pc players, but multiple sources stated that the number of PC players is really low compared to xbox players. Seperating those would cause the game to run out of PC players.
@ktingaling I can't believe that people are actually playing this game at 30fps. I'm also kinda choked that there are more XBOX users than PC.
I honestly think that crossplay should be an option for XBOX users, as there should still be enough PC players left. It isn't that hard to fill up a server anyways.
I also think that the game should stick with PVE+PVP only, as it makes the game more exciting when carrying a lot of loot. It's boring turning in loot knowing you didn't fight for it like a real pirate!

Okay, new angle: option to turn off AI threats, so no kraken spawns, no skellies, no skellie ships, no megs. Actually turn off everything.The two last times I lost all of my loot was due to AI. Rarely because of other players.
So basically just turn of everything that could even scratch your ship.
If it is too boring now, then pay some one to play it for you so you can become pirate level ninja

They used to lock out the pvp threads in the fall when some would post the seas were too peaceful. Why aren't these?Euhm, no and no.
Crossplay is the future of gaming and should be embraced. Have ideas to improve it feel free to add them, opting out is cheap and counter productive.
PvE servers are a bad idea. This is an open world multiplayer. We are not PvP or PvE players, but pirates and opportunists. Separation will only amplify the issue on PvPvE servers and remove the mystery of the sails on the horizon. On a PvPvE server they are here to kill me, PvE woohoo friends ... making the choice before setting sail instead of on the seas as it should be and is now.
PvP can be avoided by skilled sailors, so don't want to interact with others on the sea? Learn to play accordingly. Meeting others is a risk and is part of the experience at the core of this game.

@knifelife why was that not true for pvp posts? The ones who used to post are probably banned as we never hear from them anymore.

@d-jaguar It should be for all posts, I personally think there should be a rule added for thread whining.
It stifles conversation and starts arguments and gets threads locked. It’s stupid.But I’m not sure about PvP, but they are not the only ones to get banned, I can assure you most crossplay people get banned to aha. These are just new people to the forums so you have to give them time. :P
But topics I don’t agree with I just don’t comment on, unless I feel I have a valid point to make. I don’t agree with PvE servers, but I’m not on every thread that gets made making pointless posts and moaning about it. I gave my feedback on a couple and left it at that.
Edit: And look at the most upvoted people on the forums, check there profiles you would be surprised how many of them are all banned to.
@knifelife I miss some of our old forum mates. I think barrels 2.0 banned alot of them. That was a topic that caused a lot of problems.
@d-jaguar Yepp, Barrels, crossplay and a few others.. all things that could have been avoided if the devs where more involved with there community on the forums.
Think of all the arguments that would have been prevented if they came out and actually have statements on things or reasoning instead of letting us all tear jnto each other until it gets to the point they have no choice but to step in.
Like the barrels.Also comment above is a prime example of what shouldn’t be allowed. To be honest actually same as this thread, there’s no substance for conversation or discussion.
