Whoever is in charge of getting guests for the live streams.
PLEASE stop picking people who in their own words ‘Dont play the game a whole bunch’.
I let it go the first few time but boy has it become annoying.
You have a community forum full of people who play the game all the time, maybe reward these people by starting to pick from us??
How about every other week or once a month you get people to put their names into a draw and you pick at random??
@aclassali I think it also comes down to the fact that they are picking streamers who seem to have at least decent following. Sure there are many dedicated players here on the forum but how many of us our streamers that are not only entertaining but also have a decent viewer following which translates to possible customers?
A very long time ago, Rare sended surveys to people and one of these surveys went about streaming...That's when they layed a playerbase that were ready or available to stream...Time went on and some went to play other games or lost intrest in the game but when called upon ,you simply answer...For me , i don't dare to speak when i know a camera is pointed at me, even in game , and spending game time doesn't translate for me as being a Pirate Ace ,so i leave this to younger and more agile players than me...And , i may be oldskool ( * Oldskool? You never been to school ,dumbo) but i feel that a streamer must be like a sports commentator that can entertain his /her public with her /his voice so while you are not looking you still get an idea of what is going on...
Its still the only game I play lol.
I really enjoy the live streams with the devs and look forward to it each week.
It only started to become an annoyance to me a month or so when they had a streamer on who said she ‘hadn't played since the hungering deep’.
For those of us that have invested lots of time into this game from the early days that was a real kick in the teeth.
Funnily enough I actually like the guy that they have on tonights stream.

I'm hoping once they have ran out of streamers they may incorporate more community members.
Yup I've heard a few of them say "I havnt played in a while" it really makes the game look bad when their guests don't even play, it already has people saying it's a dying game as it is, it comes across that way when their "popular" guest is openly saying they havnt played.. There's plenty of streamers to choose from I havnt no idea why they're not picking them.. I for one would love to see hitbotc and the black death crew stream with rare

Yeah why not? You're probably one of the most enthusiastic forum members out there! You'd also ask good questions for sure given you love speculating.

Mr Sshteeve and Mr Barnacle Blake , i'm just like you , a pirate and not even a good one....Everybody has and luckely deploys his/her personality in this game because " something " draws out what lies within...But i am NOT a Legend, all of you could do the same and far much better than i do...The only thing is that i finally dare to jump in this game as myself because i mostly don't get shot down for my voice , accent or mistakes i make...That is the difference between SOT and any other game where i simply never talk at all...
We are all the same, bleed in the same colour and when we are put down on the casketgarden then the richest person still lies on the same cemetary as the pauper...i will always be faulthy , a bad skilled Pirate but i do love to repair boats....
@clumsy-george Hate to disagree with ya but when you are dead and gone the legend of clumsy George will still be found in a book and on a bar : ) Like it or not Clumsy George = Legend around here
