I’m tired of seeing people AFK but keep their character moving so they dont get kicked and collect all of the rewards for our loot... I propose that when a crew votes a player to the brig, there should be a countdown, say 10-15 minutes. If they are not voted out of the brig by then then they are kicked from the crew. This will also help crews get rid of trolling players so they can be replaced with helpful players. Please please please implement something like this.
New Brig/Kick/AFK Rules
That's an awful idea tbh as it wouldn't stop a kick system from being abused. I would say kick anyone whom doesn't leave the ferry within 15 mins as it would be a pain to get a macro to do that or if a person is brigged, they get a random mini game to complete which pops up after they have been in there 15 mins. If they fail that 3 times in a row, the server can kick them.
@wheelie-o Yeah this guy insulted us so we put him in the brig. Then talked trash and insulted us on his stream and just sat in the brig moving to got get kicked watching hells kitchen in the background. Really annoying. [Mod edited]

@warmedxmints i think this idea is stupid because I joined a OPEN CREW and they were on a brig doing an athena and there buddy I guess lagged out or whatever and i wanted to actually play and be helpful but the briged me for not leaving so there friend can come back in so I do not think it's my fault or I should be afk kicked because there buddy lagged out for some reason or had poopyinternet not my fault I shouldn't have to leave if i dont want to even if i am in the brig for awhile.
Waw yeah im for captancy if you open the crew you are captain and you decide the voyage and control the crew.
Dont like the voyage? Search another boat.
Now i cant use open crew they cancel your athena voyage half way, they afk, they try blow up the boat, throw loot overboard.
Its open troll crew there are only 2 moments i can use it. When im losing pvp melee i can open to get some extra chaos into the fight. When i arrive at a fort i can open and they clear the fort and sell the loot if they dont blow up their own boat -.-
This has been talked about and its a bad idea. Afk'ers are a bane to crews but the best method you have is to report the player, turn in the loot you have and just restart the party.
The reason why its a bad idea is think about what you just said or what other players said "I have control of who to kick or not". There will be players out there who will vote kick a player who was with them the whole run JUST to get their friend into the ship just to get the credit for the turn in.
Sorry broski, I would rather you have to deal with the AFK'er troll then someone getting screwed over completely because of a kick function.
Your options are
Report the Afker - Turn in and remake party
Report the afker - Ask another ship to swap ships with you, turn in and remake the party.
Sorry man, kick function would not be a good thing for this game.
There was a suggestion a long time ago, that if you were AFK and doing something repetitive, like spinning, then the game would give you a set of random input commands. If you don't put them in after a brief window, the game would auto-kick you.
I also suggested back then that if you were in the brig or ferry too long that it would start costing you more over time. For example, losing 1,000 gold every 5 minutes or so - this would force pirates to "voluntarily" quit, or suffer ongoing harsher penalties (1st gold, then dubloons, then ancient coins, then XP and company levels, then cosmetics).
@xultanis-dragon
I totally agree with You! You’re post is in a nut shell exactly the very thing happening to me right now.
I joined my so called frd bc they needed a third, as soon as I joined both of them went afk for about an hr. I took that time to stock the ship w/resources under the impression they would be returning back soon.
One wound return the other afk vice versa between the two of them basically a Brig w/just 2active players at a time me always being one of them staying on playing. This went on for about four hrs!
After the Brig was Fully Stocked & Enormous about of loot, I get kicked from party chat and thrown into the Cell then My so called frd puts up a post for a third to take my place after I basically did all the work for four hrs!
I said to them if they wanted to be lazy beards an immature about the situation, turn in the loot that I collected an I would be on my way I’d rather not play with them anyway if that’s how they play an act.
There still not turning in so I can play their game an stay too...
I’m not trolling by staying, I just want what I collected over the last few hrs I put into it.
I’m an adult an respect other gamers but if ppl want to be dirty backstabbing “teammates” so will I! as a my way of teaching them a lesson.
I’ve been in the cell for two hrs now lol, last mesg I sent was to only turn in the loot I collected for the first 4hrs nothing else an I would leave. They refused an told me to leave so they could invite their other frd to reap the rewards to become a pl.
I gave them the reasonable option
an they still refused so I said fine play it you’re way.
“””I’m still in the cell an refuse to leave””” Until they meet the terms or another player ship sinks them lol.
An to return the favor they did to me “eye for an eye” I’ve been giving recent players their coordinates to even the odds or step to their lower lvl of gaming. As this thread was 2 years old, and revived today, it will now be locked. Please feel free to start a new discussion on this topic!
