So, after losing any interest after the release, I tried to give this game another go today. It's a fine game with great atmosphere. However, I ran into a mermaid statue (turns out to be a Ruby), of which I knew nothing about. Tried to destroy it, without success. Alt-Tabbed to dekstop to study the topic online, went back to game, and jesus-effing-c****t-almighty the alt-tab still disconnects the game. I can not believe this ugly word for excrement! Lost all my treasures and progress. Pfff..... Due to this still being a problem, I will once again abandon this game, most likely for good this time. Maybe, perhaps, next year I'll check again, but this completely destroyed my interest to the game, again... Just some feedback to developers, thats all. SHAMEFUL DISPLAY!
Alt-Tab still a thing! OMG no way!?
@orccorp Just ask one of your crewmates to invite you back. I've got 2 screens and never had this problem but have heard it from friends who have just 1 screen (the Plebbes).
If the worse a game can do is disconnect you because the engine can't handle alt-tabbing then that's not so bad. I've got plenty of games that do worse.
Just enjoy the game, don't alt-tab.

About the alt+tab issue, it could have been that you got unlucky. This hasn't been an issue since they did a lot of patching in the first few weeks. I can't really think of another occurrence in the last two months since then.

Without actually knowing the beard error, there is no way of telling what the issue is.
If you want this topic to go anywhere you should add the error message you got, a.k.a. the beard error. Could be that you've got the lazybeard for being afk too long.
You just assume that it is Rare's fault, the alt+tab issue has been fixed quite a while ago.If you still experienced it the way it was before the fix, submit a bug report.
