Legendary Commandation? Are we special or just the first?

    I was wondering if the Legendary commandations for the events are going to be acquirable after it ends or if they are made to last after the event to.

    It is a Legendary title, which made me hope only those who manage to get it during the event would have it.

    But seeing how the Legendary Skeleton Exploder was handled it got me thinking that it wasn't that big of a deal to get it outside the doubloons.

    I would really like it to mean something to pour our time into the legendary titles so we can be proud to have done it.

    I you can be proud of having done the same thing fifty times then you can still be proud even if somebody else have done the same thing fifty times three later.

    It's available after the event, you just don't get the doubloons for it.

    Yeah, theres nothing special about getting the title other than getting the doubloons from it while the event is active. Which is a bit of a let down, but whatever.

    But don't you guys think it would be better if Legend and Legendary has a little more umf to it in this game. The Pirate Legend Title doesn't have much to it.

    But the point of "legendary" is that anyone can achieve it. Anyone shoul be awarded those titles, if they work hard enough.

    The limited time cosmetics are the award for completing things in the allotted time frame.

    Sure! If it were up to me, i would make Legendary Titles very hard to get, and i would also make sure they were exsclusive enough, so the 'Legendary' actually had enough meaning and value attached to it - in order for the few players that would work hard for these titles, could actually feel satisfied and proud of their titles, and other players would look up to them for that, and feel impressed.

    I would also attach cosmetics to these legendary titles/commendations.

    And when i say i would make these commendations hard-to-get and exsclusive, i'm talking about making them an actual challenge and not something grindy, which people with enough time on their hands could achieve, but a mixture of skill and dedication instead.

    'Legendary Skeleton Exploder': Rewards the pirate with a full set of the special and sought after Gunpowder Skeleton sail, hull and figurehead.

    'Legendary Curse Breaker': Rewards the pirate with a beautiful crafted mermaid curse outfit, including hat, jacket/dress, trousers, gloves, belt and boots. This outfit would be greyish/blueish color-themed, addorned with sapphires, emeralds and rubies to reflect the event.

    Well, as far as the gunpowder ones go, they are available after the event, but with the fewer gunpowder skellie spawns, it's going to be twice as hard to complete.

    So you could look at it that way. You got legendary because you were quick and efficient; knocking it out right away. If THEY get legendary, it's because they put in the time to grind it out, even with fewer opportunities.

    Not sure if they plan to tone down the statues the same way, but same could apply there.

    It'll be harder to get after the first two weeks for sure. The Master Skeleton Throne one is nearly impossible now. But The GP Skelly one as well, is more difficult with the significantly lower spawn rate. And I suspect the Mermaid Statues will appear much less as well.

    So let me get this straight, you can only be proud of something you did if others can't get it?

    I really don't understand this mentality. It's like the pirate legends that want a special title because they did it the "hard" way and people complaining about timed cosmetics returning at another time.

    Why do you need to prevent someone else from getting something when they passed the same requirements and why would someone else's accomplishment diminish yours?

    Please someone answer this because I really don't understand this.. It just seems greedy and entitled to me.

    the Cosmetics aren't Rewards for doing THIS event, it's just a reward for those with Doubloons. I got the sunken curse items even before killing 1 mermaid statue.

    You do see a point of view I missed, thanks for showing me. Yes I would like to Prevent people from having a title I worked hard to achieve within 2 weeks of the events time. To show of I managed to it.

    Something I don't like is this kindergarten teachers way of "Yaay, everybody wins". It doesn't feel rewarding to stand next to someone who you know you have beaten but because he finished the task he is rewarded just as highly as you.

    How can I/we be legends if everybody can accomplish the same tasks we did?

    Edit Note: Ofcourse I mean after the event ends, if they do it during the event they fill the proper requirements. It's when the events end I think the Legendary title shouldn't be available.

    No the cosmetics aren't the reward for doing it within the 2 weeks, the doubloons are. The titles and commendations also unlock after the two week period.

    It's not a kindergarten mentality that everybody wins, because that would be giving everyone the same without them actually having to do the work. Here we're talking about giving somebody the same title as proof they've completed it AFTER they put in the same amount of effort (probably even more on events that require other people or gunpowder with limited spawn). They just don't get rewarded doubloons as those are only handed out on the currently active event.

    If you truly managed something hard and almost unachievable, you already have bragging rights because nobody else would be able to achieve it. Now you've just completed something that's as you stated yourself "so easy to gain" and you want Rare to block others from getting it so you can pretend it was hard and almost unachievable. That you can even unlock these "legendary" titles within a day, already says enough about how "legendary" they are.

    If everyone can accomplish the same task as you/we did, it's not a legendary task to begin with.

    I totally agree that if you did something remarkable you should have the bragging rights that go with it. These "legendary" commendations however, or even Pirate Legend for that matter, aren't really something remarkable as everyone can do it as long as they're willing to put in the time. It's not anything hard or almost unachievable and as such it should also not be blocked for others.

    The funny thing is, that if something was truly hard and almost unachievable you'd never want it to be locked because you want people to try and achieve what you got and see how hard it was to get... that's part of your bragging rights.

    i answered your question. no need to discuss anything if things are clear.
    u get nothing for being legend - other games provide u with extra money because u don't get xp anymore from but in this game u are just left behind without any goals or anything if u reach legend. athena's is a joke specially because u can easy farm it as non legend with enough legends around.
