    How about fixing this please, im paying fo Xbox Game pass fo nothing and am cancelling because now ah cant play tha game ah purchased eet fo in the first place.

    Or is this tha plan to make us who got tha game thru Game Pass to force them to purchas tha game???

  • @alliesquids hi there, after decoding what you where saying i did some googling and it seems like this was a common issue before.

    Here are a few things you can try:

    • check for updates for sea of thieves
    • fully uninstall and reinstall the game from the store
    • put in a support ticket at: bit.ly/SoTSupport

  • @alliesquids None of your progress is stored locally, everything is on Rares servers. So you can reinstall as you wish.

    It's also possible that there was a problem with your bank. Maybe check your Microsoft account and see if you have an outstanding balance of some kind. This has happened to me once before where I didn't have enough money in my account and it gave me X number of days to resolve it financially or the game pass would expire. I ended up resolving it, canceling it, and buying the game for full price anyways.

    I received a message from Xbox 5 days ago saying this"We had to suspend your Xbox Game Pass subscription recently because we couldn’t renew it using your payment option. To reactivate, choose your subscription in Settings > Account > Subscriptions and select Pay now."
    Ive checked my PayPal account, the method I chose, and 10.95 has been Debited on the 13th of each month, last payment was 13th June 2018, I also checked my bank account PayPal draws from and my Bank Statement also shows these payment being Debited, last payment on the 13th June. So whats going on????

    Wow I don't know then. Sounds like you got that figured out. Go to your games and apps, hit start on SoT and select uninstall all. Then select it again from game pass and try installing again. Maybe you are missing the update since it was suspended just before the new update released? Maybe check that as well if you haven't already. That's very strange

  • @alliesquids well if you have your game pass account suspended, that's a whole another thing and has nothing to do with SoT. Check if your subscription is actualy valid now, otherwise contact MS Support, if you believe it was suspended by some error.

    Home button on controller, down 1 space to "My games and apps", then "Games". It's there

  • Ok so now ive uninstalled SOT how do I reinstall it? From Microsoft Store it seems I have to sub to Game Pass which I already am until the 13th, but I don't see install game anywhere.

    Wow, just wow.

    The attitude and deliberate spelling errors of your OP must get you far in life.
    Millions of people have and are playing the game so the issue is obviously at your end.
    Nobody can tell if you have issues with playing the game unless they are made aware of it.

    As others have suggested that's where you need to report it to Rare via the support page.

    Buying a game pass doesn't mean that you "purchased" the game. You purchased the right to play a number of titles available to the (much cheaper) game pass.

    Now the full story is made clear (magically written in English) it turns out that it has nothing to do with this particular game.
    You even admit to where the fault is.

    Hang on my General Electric toaster doesn't work, I know I'll write to Pepsi to complain about it in a made-up language that nobody can decipher. Sheesh!

  • @alliesquids well errors can happen, they shouldn’t but they can. As you know i did try to be helpfull and i dont want to beat you down now either.

    But as stated in my first post i had to “decode” what you where saying, i gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought english might not have been your main language, but it seems you can type it just fine now. Which means the horrible spelling was because of an attitude problem, i get it you were angry or frustrated but allways try to be kind when asking for help it really gets you further then coming in with an attitude.

    Second of all, the thing @Admiral-RRRSole was commenting on was the fact that you stated before you had an issue with game pass in the past which looks like the main issue still causing your problems, however you put the blame fully on SoT and gave a conspiricy theory about forcing people to buy the game instead of using gamepass. (Which is also not true, been playing trough gamepass since release without issue, except the almondbeard disaster of may)

    I believe @Admiral-RRRSole wasn’t necesarily blaming you for the error, he just stated that the error wasn’t mainly (or at all) due to SoT and by the looks of it, it is a MS Gamepass/Account issue. The thing he “blamed” you for is that you seemed to expect that anybody would be aware of your issue for a while (long time?) without ever notifying anybody.

    TLDR; it seemed like you came in with an attitude (which i gave the benefit of the doubt) about an issue you were experiencing, which sometimes can invoke certain reactions from the community on a public forum.

    Ps i dont mean any disrespect, just trying to help and inform ;-)

    Pps please refrain from name calling and or swear words as they can and will get you in trouble with the @Deckhands as those actions are against the forum rules

    My "Mah" typing is just how I type I don't see how that makes any difference, are there some kind of rules stating I must spell each word exact? Its called artistic license LOL and if you have a problem with it then don't reply. It wasn't because of a "bad attitude" ROFL how did you or rrrsole come up with that? To justify your harsh judgmental replies concerning my attitude? LOL WoW!

    Decode a few alternately spelled words? Where did you decode them? do you have a decoder or was it not really that hard but you thought you would make a point of it anyway?     Hence why I changed my typing because of your trouble reading it. I was being considerate and wanted to make sure the info I was giving for a possible fix by someone was understood, but im like that, considerate :)))

    5th I may have had an issue relating to Game Pass 6 days ago about payments etc but I read when searching about that code before I posted here it was likely due to a bug from the game and or Game Pass so how the hell do I know what the problem is, so why I posted here you know for answers by people who know more about it.

    With advice from the first 2 posters I contacted support long before rrrsole suggested that's what I should be doing, so learn to read before you post suggestions that have obviously already been taken Thanx, oh sorry I mean thankyou, save you getting your decoder out again :P

    I admit the comment on making people buy the game was sarcasm but hardly a reason to throw accusations around and turn a need help post to a character assessment one. LOL

    The "game has been like this for a long time" was merely a comment that this error wasn't new, ie I have been getting it a while. Granted I didn't jump on this issue straight away because I have other things in life to attend to other than playing a game and trying to solve problems relating to it. No big deal really.

    So a long un needed post really of explanation because people like to jump to conclusions, funny that, but again thanx to all those that helped but Capt rrrsole was being just that, he offered no help but was just pointing a finger which isn't help at all.

    And I also mean no disrespect but am just trying to inform you all of my intentions and how it is so you can lay to rest all your imaginings.

  • @alliesquids the reason for my maybe sometimes poor choice of wording could be due to the fact that i am not a native english speaker, which might cause my native grammar, sayings or proverbs might shine trough here and there. I was just trying to say that post wasnt meant to bash on you or anything (i think that might be a better way to word it) and i used decode because that was the first word that came to mind, decipher might be better but thats just semantics. The thing i tried to convey was that it was either intentionally or unintionally harder to read then it should be especially for people that dont have english as their native language ;-)

    Anyways i believe i didnt say you had an attitude, but due to the way you worded things it seemed like you had one, if people are not aware you usualy type that way it can come off as such and the thing is with public forums where you post a request for help in text only (as forums usually work) people will get an impression of the person behind it in the way the post is worded. It is human nature to judge a persons character one way or the other, thats just psychology and the way the human mind works. Thats way the saying goes: only one chance to make a first impression.

    Due to the fact that text based conversation misses alot of basic stuff we use in conversation everyday, i mean stuff like:

    • tone of voice
    • physical manurisms
      Etc what usually is called non verbal communication, sometimes things can and will be judged wrongly.

    So just a pointer here, not saying your way of typing is necesarily wrong, it might just not be the best use of typing when posting for help on a publice forum with alot of people with other languages as native languages and even more people that dont know you.

    Anyway, OT, i hope your issue gets resolved swiftly and i am glad i could be of service with my initial post(s)

  • @callmebackdraft No problems :) This is the exact reason I changed the way I typed due to consideration and not for whatever reason rrrsole suggested.
    To be honest most people don't have an issue with the way I type, I only come up against this sort of thing every now and then and usually from the same types of nit picking people. Obviously they totally understand what I have typed in order to reply to it so therefore they are just making an issue of something that is un important or maybe its personal for them which I call drama. I could be the same too, judging people by their text and agreed its hard not to but dont go on and on in a post and make accusations about someone you know nothing about.

    We all know that texting cant convey everything we want or need to know about someone so why bother making an issue about something you aren't sure about? For me people like that want drama and that's their main reason for replying like in rrrsoles case and you coming in and defending him in some way or another warranted my explanation.

    Again I fully appreciated all your help and others efforts and I have fixed my problem :) I ended up just buying the game which is now ironic due to my sarcastic comment LOL

    So have a sweeeet day mah doooood and dunn be bamboozlins too much on da sea ok hehehehehehehe toodles meows XD
