    Talking about weekly events!

    • They decided to make them fortnightly instead of weekly events (Originally)
    • You only have 2 weeks to get the limited time cosmetics
    • Bilge rat currency will not go away, just the limited time items.
    • You can save bilge rat currency for future adventures
    • Find duke and see what is happening in the world
    • Consistent items (Reputation commendations +Buying gold) It is an Option
    • Bilge Rat doubloons will NOT be purchasable
    • During the Hungering Deep there were less PvP encounters
    • Social interaction will always be a core part of Sea of Thieves
    • Replay ability
    • Skeleton Thrones have been left in the world to explore
    • Gunpowder Skellies will remain after the event
    • There will be a reason to explore underwater near the reefs and underwater areas around islands.

    I think this is the first time I've heard anyone from Rare openly acknowledge that many players have been struggling to find other crews to team up with, so that's very welcome, as is the knowledge that they've listened and are planning on introducing ways to make it easier. :)

    I'm not sure on that one...

    I would rather see them in a larger content drop with a massive amount of themeing around them and a larger scale event...

    @ant-heuser-kush I just figured they'd save it for the Cursed Sails or something. Just seemed like thing they'd save for a big release instead of a weekly event.

    I'm all for releasing it when its ready.

    @ant-heuser-kush I would love Mermaids to finally make a malicious appearance! Regardless of it being small, or not, the point is that in the long run, they'll be here to stay as a new, small, AI threat.

    I think the new event will revolve around exploring ship wrecks and, obviously, reefs for new type of loot ( or the same old trinkets ) that are being protected by Mermaids.

    Still believe I'm gonna be right about it just being underwater chests. The mermaid thing seems too big for the small events they've been running.

    Maybe instead of mermaids the mermaid curse is spreading to those on land and we have to collect things for a cure...
