Powder Kegs and Cannons

  • Do you think it would be fun if the game let you carry a powder keg while being shot out of a cannon? I think it would allow for some goofy strategies in combat!

    For or Against???

  • No. What would be the point of cannonballs or weapons when every battle would be everybody firing themselves out and ahead of ships with the gunpowder and swimming the minimal distance to hit.

There is no strategy in making kegs this much easier to get from point A to B

  • Nah I think it would
Make boarding and kegging too easy. Also if a cutlass can blow a keg then it seems like being shot out of a
    Cannon prolly would too lol.

Heck yea. It would be super fun trying to time drops from above.

  • I don't mean to Hijack your thread but I had an idea I wanted to post but its better posting here than making a new thread.

Wouldnt it be cool if there were special Powder kegs that had timers on that could be thrown overboard at following ships.

  • You can already dump powder kegs in the water in hopes that the ship following hits it and it will explode on contact. There is no need for a timer.

    Absolutely, and trip wires!

@MarkGlow I think timers would be nice so you could stick it in the belly of the ship and runaway before it explodes instead of having to shoot it.

  • @blackbeard-lufy

Didn't think of that.... I see the need for a timer, however, I think the risk of shooting it adds to the excitement. Maybe timers could be purchased in the shop and added on to the kegs.
