  • Am I the only one that wished there was an option in the menu to skip the intro.

  • @captainflintkin Are you talking about the screen that traces a line over the map?

You can skip it by pressing 'B'

  • @captainflintkin LOL Press B LOL

  • @captainflintkin You provided me with my afternoon humor, thankyou!

  • @captainflintkin
Why skip it....the music is great

  • This must be a troll post? B or ESC to skip. Bruh.

  • LOL cmon. Took me all of 2 seconds to mash every button on the controller until I found one that skipped that screen.

  • I feel sorry for you if you've been sitting through that whole intro before every single game

  • @quarbani yeah I watch it through every so often, best part is the two tunes from the storm

  • @scoobywrx555
I love the music for when the skeleton fort captain arrives....think it’s a variation of some of this opening credits

  • You mean altogether, without having to manually skip it every time?

Not that I know of - but there should be!

  • @stang616 I am talking about permanent skip not just pressing a button. If you played any other game you know what I am talking about almost any other game was a skip option so you dont have to watch all the ads every single time you launch the game.

  • @captainflintkin Really, I think you are mistaken. For Console games, even games like Assassin's Creed don't let you permanently skip the loading screens. PC games like Civ force you to watch those videos UNLESS you modify the files. Pressing one additional button is not that bad. I don't see anything wrong here.

  • @nightmare247365 but every time i leave a session I am forced to skip the intro its annoying.

  • @captainflintkin or press esc on pc

  • @ve111a the game is not suppose to act like you are closed it completely after you leave a session. Right now it acts like i alt+f4 and launched it again. When we leave a session we have to be send back to the menu. We should not be forced to press 4-5 times different buttons so we can start. 1 time press any button to continue , 1 time skip the intro 1 time select a ship 1 time to skip that r******d message and finally to start the game. Fix your User Journey RARE you guys are programmers you know what I am talking about or "i hope you do".

    B on controller
    Esc on Keyboard

  • @txraptor69
No offense, but I realllly don't like your profile pic.
Not trying to start a fight; Its just... that's not what a goomba should look like.

  • @nightmare247365 Not true, civ lets you turn off Intro in the settings of the game. No need to modify any game files.

  • i think i get what he means, he is talking about putting the loading screen before the touch a button to continue, so you can leave a session, and dont have to skip it again, only skip it when you enter the game the first time

  • This is the definition of a first world "problem" you have to press a button to play the game? Get real... take a literal .5 seconds and hit the damn button.

  • @benjawenja l**o it’s all good. I chose that pic for the ridiculousness of how it looks lol

  • @crash4654 Three buttons. Any key to start the game after starting the game, esc to skip the intro, enter to remove the pop-up. Every time you start the game or return to the menu.

    It's unnecessary and annoying.

  • @jonathanbak Sorry Civ 4 and 5 I think.....Did not let you do that at the start. I have not played in a while, but originally you had to modify the file.

I still play a lot of Civ6, and it's my biggest pet peeve, that there is a super loud intro (GG games that load settings profiles after splash screens) that you cannot skip.

  • @nightmare247365 Maybe not at launch, but when I bought it in 2015 it allowed me to in settings turn the intro video off. Same in civ 6.
