Custom captain wheel

    I’d really like to be able to buy a specialized wheel for my boat. The one part of the boat that is probably looked at the most, especially from a solo sloop player, it would be very cool to have a set of wheels to pick from similar the other boat customizations/skins.

    I’d love to see a gold wheel, a wheel made out of bones, a wheel made out of polished wood, wheel that has gems in it, a warped cracked and bilge rat esque wheel.

    What would you want to see? Is this a good idea or not worth the time?

    @themilkman-vaec This is very much a great idea especually for the driver of the ships. Id love to see a better wheel and be able to costomize that wheel to whatever material and gems. Great idea and maybe even some cool chain theme for the wheel. I also think the lights on the ship should be upgradable like the lantern you hold you can buy a cool blue one from the souls shop.

    Heck ya, I also want a custom bell, morings, anyone notice the curtains? Yup I want custom curtains too. Carpets, chairs, tables, wall decor. Heck I even want custom barrels. I'm all for more!!

    OH one more thing I WANT TO CUSTOMIZE my captains wheel compass!!

    I'm all for customization as long as it fits the theme. I NEVER want to see things that don't fit in my game. I would hate sailing and seeing people with pony ships or ships that look like a giant taco , It still needs to fit in.

    it's inside I can't see it unless its about to sink so maybe lol. I just don't want my game affected by seeing stupid stuff lol.

    @ve111a yarrharrrr... fair enough.

    Where do ye stand on things like a ship o' bones, or a ghost ship? Things that hold true to pirate mythology and lore e'en if they no be the most realistic?

    I could see this type of customization making an appearance o'er the updates n' patches. Not so much tacos and pony adventures mind ye.

    Well, hell. I guess I won't be happy until I get a taco ship, now.

    I do remember Rare talking about cosmetic things that tie into things you have done, such as when defeating the kraken, gaining an item you can trade in for a cosmetic. After seeing the kraken wheel at one of the shipwrights, I suspect this is in the pipeline.

    Yes! This is definitely something ive wanted from the get go, a golden wheel gilded with jewels, or a wheel made of bones with a skull at the middle peg, that would be amazing, because as a solo sloop captain myself i can agree that the wheel is something you look at the most

    Now, let me make a point of contention... lol ...do we want to see ships that are a mishmash o' many styles? Might be a bit of an eyesore.

    Perhaps a single additional ship option for the deck. So ye pick yer sails, yer figurehead, yer hull and now yer deck an' that changes cannon, lanterns, wheel n' captains quarters/map room to be that o' a noble bilge rat or a scurvy admiral... might be more realistic than a free-fer-all wit' all the bits.

    no not at all I'd love that, I think that the ghost ship should only be like super end game like the ghost costume tho. Like @DrunkPunk138 said though that will probably be the way that it goes, And I will be super happy to have achievement rarity ship upgrades so eventually he can let the founders sails be replaced lol.

    @ve111a I dunno... the fine sails o' the founders be something ye can never again achieve. I don't have them, alas, but me mate does so we sail wit them proudly, knowing any who gazes upon them with jealousy can ne'er have them for themselves.

    Of course, by the same logic I should wear me day one patch, but I do not cause it be mighty ugly :)

    I think we be on the same page though. No to the Taco Galleon, Aye to anythin' that adds to the pirate feel and theme. I agree ghost ships should no be handed out like candy though.

    ^^^ THIS is the kind of customization that would be fantastic!

    Things we can SEE while playing.

    wheel. compass. anchor. lights. bells. map table.

    they should all have the same kind of custom skins and design elements as the clothing.

    Nah, cause that be a sail that all could in theory achieve. Founders be gone but for those that have it. Wish I'd had the foresight me'self.

    It be like the Ebon Flintlock that many be pining for. I brandish mine with pride cause I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

    @awesomecoreusa That's the reason he loves it lol because of the Rarity I just personally like the aesthetic look of some of the other sails more. I don't really care that much as I don't see them often unless I'm coming back to my boat lol.

    @ve111a oh totally. Tis not the prettiest sails in the waters fer sure. But 'tis the most exclusive. E'en the pirate legend sails can be had by all. If ye have the founders sails ye have what none can achieve.

    And there ain't no shame in flaunting what others can't get.
