So, after two days of playing for 8 hours and 7 hours not including the many hours after work and the last two weekends we have noticed painfully so the lack of any good loot in a mission. We have found great chest, skulls, and free cages with lots of golden pigs and chickens on the islands we visited during our many voyages and also in the shipwrecks which we love to find.
We are thinking about dumping voyages completely because after all the hard work doing riddles, fighting waves of soul skellies, and traveling all over the globe dodging thieves we are getting the captains chest, broken skulls, spices and teas, just by looking around.
We need to find a good chest or two during the voyage of digging up 8 chest and none of them worth a crud or the many messages in the bottle which takes hours of travel, digging riddle solving and dodging thieves for a castaway chest.

Congratulations to getting lucky with shipwreck loot.. i dont see the problem!
No srsly: i dont know what reputation you have with the factions but being below lvl 30 can easily end with low-pay-quests... 40-50 quests have a good well mixed variety of different qualities in treasure... while shipwrecks are designed to be found by lvl1 as equal als lvl10athena-legends... u see my point?
@genereder We as a family all four of us had more great treasures, skulls, and all the first few weeks from day one of launch. Then after one of the updates....very few good voyage rewards, message in a bottle went from cool to oh forget it its a message bottle. and so on.
@kondrites I think they should change the system a bit. When you are a low level you should find cast aways and sea farers frequently. As you level up your faction quests the lower level chests should gradually become rarer, and the better chests more common. At the highest levels it should be quite rare you find a sea farars or cast aways and the more valuable chests should be easier to find.
This would provide a better feeling of player progression (and a better reason to actually upgrade your voyages) as well as being perfectly feasible.. at a higher level you should only be given quests to find the better loot right?... You won't ask a great pirate if he or she could go and find measly value chests, you'd ask them to go after the large fry, as they have proven themselves countless times, (hence the rep rating)
