Just came across a few different crews just camping multiple Outposts during the Server Shutdown Timer. This shouldn't be a thing, this is a prime example as to why Outposts should be non-PvP areas or have guards around to attack hostile players. Anyone that doesn't see a problem with this, you are what's wrong with gaming and are the ones that politicians and activists look at to say violent video games make people violent.
Camping Outposts During Server Shutdown Timer
You seem a bit angry about this, usually if someone's camping an outpost I go to a different one. But seeing as, in your situation, the server is closing soon. So the best thing to do is to probably just kill them or try and sell as much as possible. It might suck a bit but I don't think it's a problem.
@big-boi-stl people who disagree with you are not necessarily horrible people. By your picture, you seem old enough to formulate a better argument than "I'm right and you're a monster if you think I'm not."
@big-boi-stl i seen same thing at the 29 min count down i think outposts should be safe zones with strong AI defending them just like they did in black sails tv show.
@big-boi-stl anyone who disagree with you is an d***e then what kind of mindset is that i too found 3 sloops hunting me today before server shuts down you can just sunk them you know is not that hard stop asking for non PvP Zones already there is too many people doing that and is not gonna happen we all know that Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?

let me tell you tho if they were non-pvp it wouldnt be fair cause after i finish a fort and hit the nearest outpost no1 can touch me or i can steal the key of a fort sit on an outpost no1 can touch me would that be fair?? wouldn't you come back in the forums saying the opposite thing you just said if that happened to you ???

i too aggree they maybe should make Pve servers letting you do some missions with maybe 1/3 of the reputation of the factions cause no risk no reward right?

oh and yeah playing sea of thieves made me a pirate in real life-

Of course, I don't advocate camping but it may have been possible that they weren't hostile and that they were just in the same position as you.I hate to say it but the fear of toxicity definitely eliminates most of the positive player interaction in this game.
They did not, I killed both of them when they attempted to kill me. The fact of the matter is, they see the servers are shutting down soon and know people are gonna try to hurry up and sell their loot before it happens so they just wait at the Outpost for anyone to try and do just that. It wasn't just the ones I fought, but another crew at another Outpost doing the same thing; slowly sailing circles around the Outpost waiting for someone to try and get rid of their loot.
@big-boi-stl I agree theres an issue in this and its needs to be tweaked abit. But Non-pvp outpost is simply r******d. It opens up for so much trolling and griefing
Cry me a river I was parked at an outpost my friend just got Pirate legend and went to check out the inn, I want to save it for when I reach it in 4 lvls so I stayed on the ship.
1 was AFK and we had a 4th taking forever to join in and load.
I got kegged as I was calling for help, repairing the ship and shooting back.
We won them 2v4 while we were anchored, had our pants down not expecting them and they peppered my rear.
They had 20 skulls onboard. I was just about to leave the server. And they messed with the wrong Galleon.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/410606469331943424/436069297111040020/unknown.pngYou do realize your playing a pirate game don't you... don't wait till the last minute to get to an Outpost, I go early with the server warning shutdown timer every time and never have that issue.. plus a half hour is plenty of time to go to another Outpost if one is crowded, the game is fine the way it is.. gaurds and safe zone, horrible idea, this is a Pirates life my guy.... Good luck to you next time planning your sales earlier though.. maybe they should make it an hour warning for extra time for slow people to hit different Outpost though
Amen I had the same experience the timer was counting down saw the galleon at the out post and we had chickens that needed to go to that outpost and we noticed there ship sank so we thought they turned in there stuff and got off cause of the timer well no the sunk there boat and camped the outpost to steal our stuff I mean I go by the rules in ever tavern all fights an stuff are settled at sea. I mean really when I lose loot it's because of an Outpost because someone is camping it or they come in while your docked and sink you and steal your stuff and I feel like when I go to kill them they just have an advantage some how like more health or something idk how you take 2 blunderbluss shots and a few sword swipes and still live to tell the tale. I like the game but I like my loot too

You'd think so, but if people didn't accept that as a valid strategy and then go on to kill one another in its name, morality as we know it would not exist. You can tell he's one of "those guys" by the way he references politicians and activists without disdain.
Regardless of whether I think it's right or wrong what those people did, it's inarguably clever.
